I loved car camping here on Scott's land! It was so peaceful with the waterfall right outside to lull us to sleep. Definitely make a fire because it gets cold up here! Would definetly go back!

The site was beautiful, portable toilets clean, and directions were clear! Unfortunately the neighbors dog was outside and barking NONSTOP the entire night and we were unable to get any sleep because of it, I know this is no fault to the hosts but it didn’t really prevent us from enjoying our stay.

Amazing!
So very beautiful! We loved it and will be back. Had many surprises like the swings and the grill. Train sounds and rooster were the unexpected background medley but not too bothersome.

Loved the private waterfall!
We loved camping on Scott's property! The waterfall and huge firepit made it perfect. Scott had everything set up for a seamless stay ... shovel (for ash, etc), axe, clean porta-a-potty, and even perfect weather. Hahaha! As other campers have mentioned, you need to be aware that you will hear road noises (not see the road), the neighbor's barking dog, and the rooster who thinks it's always sunrise 🤣, but we knew this ahead of time and it didn't keep us awake or detract from our relaxation in the least. This is a wonderful property and a definite 'do again.'

Beautiful spacious campsite. The kids loved playing in the waterfall and around the rocks even though it was chilly in October. We would definitely go back!

Weekday get away

Relaxed and Recharged!
We are relaxed and recharged, this was exactly what we needed. We typically do more remote camping but this was easy in and out for a quick 2 day break. The property is mostly private with some traffic from the shared drive but we never felt disturbed.

Camping by the waterfall
This was the perfect girls trip getaway. Scott was the perfect host and provided us with what we neede to have an amazing night and day by the waterfall. The waterfall was such a beautiful part of the natural environment. The backdrop of the waterfall, and good friends, made for a great getaway from Charlotte. Highly recommended.

I went on a weekend getaway with 5 girls and 3 dogs - I don’t think we could have picked a more perfect spot. The site is absolutely gorgeous, well maintained, and the host, Scott, was warm and attentive. There’s a reason this place stays booked!

Campsite is absolutely gorgeous! The amenities provided made our stay easy and enjoyable. Bathroom, picnic table, swings, trashcans, grate for cooking over the fire, what more could you need. My kids absolutely loved it...they didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back. Scott greeted up upon arrival and was such a gracious host throughout, and recommended some cool things to do. Perfect way to spend a weekend.

Chasing waterfalls
Beautiful spot tucked away in a small town. I thoroughly enjoyed swimming and exploring the creek and falls. The swings and fire pit were perfect for relaxing. The generator, animals feeding and wood add on options were a BIG plus. I can’t wait to come back! I will say that the turn in with my pop up camper was a little tight. But I made it in and out first try.

Private Waterfall and Swimming Hole
This was my first time using HipCamp and the experience was amazing! Scott has a beautiful property that is well maintained. In addition to the great views and private campsite, there were extra amenities, like a grill, axe, picnic table, lantern holder and even lighter fluid. We got rain on our last night but the sand soaks it up well. The kids played in the water and off the waterfall every day we were there and we took the 15 minute drive to go to Crowder Mountain State Park and hike up to Kings Pinnacle while we were there. I would recommend this campsite to anyone looking to get away from it all.

Directions to the campground were clear and Scott was very helpful and answered all of our questions quickly. The campground was simple and wonderful! The swings around the fire were a lovely touch.
The rocks around the waterfall could get slippery so be mindful when exploring. But once you’re on the rocks up top they are perfect for sunbathing and then laying in the water. We got to feed the goats and see chickens and a horse too! Overall a great trip and a great host.

Camping with kids
This is our best camp experience yet! We aren't quite ready to be totally remote/primitive. This is great for families. We had plenty of room to spread out and the view was lovely. Kids were excited to see frogs and turtles in the area. There are trash cans and recycling. We brought our own double utility for showering/toileting so can't comment on the porta potties, but Scott was very responsive so I'm sure they were decent. Recommendations for campers: flip/flops or sandals (we got sand everywhere) and grill mats if you plan to use the grill thats provided. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

This was a stress-free, relaxing, camping trip. Our dogs and boys loved the water. My husband and I enjoyed cooling off in the waterfall. A very clean campsite and very responsive host. We were lulled to sleep by the sound of the waterfall; I’ve never slept better while camping.
