Welcome to Murphy's Campground A peaceful, family-run coastal retreat owned and operated by locals Ben, Rachelle and Murphy. IMPORTANT – TOILET AVAILABILITY Shared portable toilets are available from 17 December 2026 to 27 January 2027 (inclusive). Outside these dates, all campers must be fully self-contained with their own toilet facilities. Nestled on a spacious, grassy property directly opposite Hat Head National Park, Murphy's is a back-to-basics campground where you can unwind, reconnect with nature and enjoy the laid-back charm of Crescent Head. With Killick Beach just 800 metres away via Ryan's Cut, and Crescent Head village, the main beach and Killick Creek just a 7-minute drive away, you'll enjoy peaceful countryside surroundings with beautiful beaches, local cafés and coastal adventures close by. Whether you're surfing, fishing, exploring the national park or simply relaxing beneath the stars, Murphy's is the perfect place to make yourself at home. Why You'll Love Murphy's • Spacious grassy campsites – Generous 10 m × 10 m sites. • Beach nearby – Just 800 metres away via Ryan's Cut. • Surrounded by nature – Hat Head National Park directly opposite. • Pet-friendly – Dogs are welcome but must remain on leads. • Great location – Crescent Head (7 mins), Kempsey (25 mins) and Port Macquarie (40 mins). • Beach 4WD access – Richardson's Crossing is just 4 minutes away. Summer Holiday Camping 17 December 2026 – 27 January 2027 (inclusive) Tents, caravans, camper trailers and motorhomes are welcome. Shared portable toilets are provided during this period. Self-Contained Camping 5 November – 16 December 2026 and from 28 January 2027 onwards Camping is available exclusively to fully self-contained guests with their own toilet facilities. Facilities Murphy's is a back-to-basics campground with no showers, powered sites, drinking water or water hookups. Generators are welcome, provided they are used considerately and do not disturb other campers. Please respect the property, keep pets on leads, take all rubbish with you and leave your campsite as you found it. We can't wait to welcome you to our little corner of Crescent Head!
