Fair Harvest is a permaculture farm 5km out of Margaret River in Australia’s beautiful South West corner. The gardens were established in 1995 and have organic veggie gardens, fruit orchards, poultry, composting systems and more. we run courses event and our cafe is open Friday to Sunday 7.30/10.30am. We are close to beaches, walk trails, mountain bike tracks and vineyards. This renovated truck has been turned into a living area with a queen size bed upstairs and a living area downstairs with a tiny kitchenette. Completely recreated using recycled pine pallets. The amenities toilet and shower are shared with our campground as well as a campkitchen and a campfire when not off season..
Note : the tiny house is not adapted for kids and we provided bedding only for 1 queen bed.
Fair Harvest is a well-loved campsite that offers a blend of nature, community, and eco-friendly principles. The campground, set in a beautiful permaculture farm, is praised for its peaceful atmosphere and clean facilities. Guests appreciate the communal bonfire and the opportunity to interact with farm animals, although some mention the need for more showers to accommodate the number of visitors. The café, with its locally sourced food, is a highlight, although some find it a bit pricey.
Absolutely gorgeous setting! We loved our time at Fair Harvest and our kids had a ball! All the amenities were available, but without the busy campground feel. We look forward to coming back! Perfect blend of nature, fun and relaxation.
Honestly this has become one of my new favourite places. The intention that has gone into creating this place is so insanely beautiful. The grounds, the animals, the gardens, the produce, the cafe, even the toilets. It truly is such a beautiful property and space and it’s now going to become one of our regular and favourites. Thankyou so much guys 🤎
Absolutely loved this campsite - so lovely to see all of the animals and the permaculture ethos of the campsite is wonderful to see and be a part of for our stay. Great location close to the town, but also immersed in nature. And was great to have a cafe onsite. Thanks so much!
Nice camp-site for families, beautiful garden, animals and playground. Friendly hosts, well maintained facilities, central location close to Margaret River and Cowaramup.
As beginner campers its was an amazing experience. Jodie and Dorothee such lovely and down to earth people. Kind and helpful!
Communal fire area was bigger than i thought. Peaceful waking up and at night.
Love learning how the permaculture sytem works literally in every aspect of the farm and campground from toilet and shower use to foods scraps nothing is wasted! Had plugs to charge phones at the campers kitchen which was spacious aswell as helpful.
So spacious between each campers spot. Only thing is the cafe is a bit pricy if youre on a budget. Also loved being able to feed the horses and pony. Didnt see any sheep or much other cattle but a lovely trail walk between the big trees at the end of the farm with a beautiful resting spot by the water.
Would definitely come back again🌠❤️🔥🤠
Absolutely loved the campground! We went during the winter so animals weren’t around too much unfortunately but such a nice, homely feel. Cafe and food is so delicious and the camp dogs were definitely bonus! Jodie and Dorothee are both so lovely and always made sure we were made to feel comfortable even during the storm! I look forward to returning in summer!
Fantastic stay! The campsite was clean, peaceful, and well maintained. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and the location was perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. We had everything we needed and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!
We recently stayed at this lovely farm stay and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The amenities were basic but spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious and a wonderful way to start the day. The owners were absolutely delightful and went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and looked after. We would happily stay again.
We had a great time staying in the tiny house (circuse truck) for two nights.
Lovely campground, close to Margaret River town and had a great restaurant with amazing breakfast on the menu. Everything is home grown and organic.
Would highly recommend checking it out, either the campground or to stay in the tiny house.
Great campsite with lots of special elements that make it so charming! Lots of space to spread out, good well kept and clean facilities, cute animals and homemade and perishables.
Staying at Fair Harvest is waking up to the sound of geese and horses, sharing a communal campfire with other campers, enjoying a cafe meal with produce on the farm, and all with a composting toilet and hot shower. We really loved our stay.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Loved the walk through the permaculture farm—so much life everywhere. Finished it off with a great communal campfire and a chat. Kids enjoyed riding their bikes and the large swing. Really nice vibe.
We stayed there for three nights and was very nice. You really immerse yourself into nature and the facilities are super eco friendly. However despite us being there off-season, there were still quite a lot of people and only 2 showers, for which it was common to queue for.
Same for toilets (but 3 of them).
The cafe is very cute and they serve breakfast with food and products from their own farm. However too pricey for the quantity.
A very relaxed campground and spacious sites. We liked being able to walk around the farm to check out the produce and animals. We also enjoyed a coffee at the cafe, and topped up on homemade jams - very yummy!
