Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Welcome to Roots and Culture! We cultivate and protect food and soil to grow and sustain food and land sovereignty for Black people in New York State. We are a space for BIPOC communal well-being and we host several events each year to nourish and celebrate BIPOC Earth workers. We have several gardens that produce May through November and are happy to offer garden tours and plant-based meals to guests by request. We always need help, so if you are willing to participate in a project during your stay, please indicate in your reservation. From weeding and turning compost, to planting trees and harvesting garlic, there are a number of ways to add your energy to the farm.
We do not currently provide bathroom facilities. We ask guests to use a modest compost toilet
The former site of an organic berry and lettuce farm, this beautiful getaway just north of Newburgh gives access to a seasonal creek and small swimming hole. Nearby is the Marlborough Farm Trail, brewing companies and wineries, orchards, U-Picks, parks on the Hudson River, and 15 minutes to the many hiking trails in Beacon.Experience total darkness in this secluded field or garden campsite where you have the option to light a fire or take a dip in the creek. 420 friendly hosts. Breakfast and/or lunch available by request.
This is a great location for bird watching or experiencing getting away from the City without actually having to go that far. 15 minutes from Beacon train station, 15 minutes from wineries, breweries, restaurants and other shops.
