We had a great experience car camping on Michael’s property. He was super helpful and the site had great amenities. It was very clean, spacious, and private. We really enjoyed walking the attached trail and visiting with the friendly farm animals. Would definitely return in the future.

This is a great place to camp! It's very private and quiet. The star gazing is great. Our spot was very shaded and wooded with electric hook ups and a hose. The hosts are very nice and communication was easy.

Great lil overnight getaway for me n the pup not far from Richmond. Was able to book day of for some last minute peace. The property was beautiful and quiet both during sunset and sunrise. Evie and her partner helped lead me into the site and offered to be around if need be. My dog loved the attention and love they gave her upon meeting! Definitely would recommend!

This was my second visit and. It has been very pleasant. The place is isolated but as all the amenities described. The site is clean. The site is spacious, there is a trail to get to the site and. I saw deer and wildlife. The check in was done at night and the host was very responsive. A phone call quickly put me on the right location. The place is secluded, if you want to see the sky this is one of the best places in the area if you’re in the 757. I wanted to see the stars but it was cloudy. I still had a great time. Highly recommend

A hidden gem just outside of Hampton Roads! We stayed at Site 1 - The Orchard. The property is beautiful. The site was lovely. They even left the lights on for us as we were coming in late. You can tell they really care about their property and the site. Both are meticulously maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed the sounds of nature, and the beautiful orchards. There is electric hook ups and water on site. The site is very well shaded. It’s a short walk down a small hill to the u-pick blueberry patch. We didn’t take the time to pick this go round but absolutely plan to come again and do so. The road to the site is gravel but grated well and clear. We had no issues getting to the site and backing in with our 17ft trailer. Michael stopped by, at the end of our stay, to wish us safe travels and say hi. We enjoyed meeting him. We’ll absolutely be adding this HipCamp to the rotation of spots not far from home!

You have a beautiful view of a wide-open field surrounded by trees from the comfort of a shaded campsite in the woods. Easily accessible by 2WD with a turnaround loop and an additional exit. On site features a brand-new full size picnic table with trash bin nearby. Take a walk by the open field for exercise and then retreat to the campsite for rest. I just enjoyed a solo trip there and camped out in my tent. It was a very hot day and the shelter of the trees kept me cool. Nice place, would recommend.

This was my second stay at Cornerstone. The hosts are always so nice and accommodating. They always make sure you have everything you need and then allow you to enjoy their beautiful property in peace.
My first stay was a little over a year ago at camp Redfish. This time was at one of their new sites, Camp Crowsnest. Crowsnest is in a different field so you have the whole field to yourself, which is nice.
They’ve also added another new site since the last time I stayed there, Camp Flounder, which is a nice spot carved into the woods. They are in the process of building a little cabin at Camp Redfish. That will be a nice option for people once it is completed.
I always really enjoy my time here. It’s hard to beat the quiet and seclusion. I would definitely recommend any of their sites if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway to relax and connect with nature.

Our weekend at Shine & Rise was exactly what we needed! Jay was super responsive and I highly recommend getting the farm tour - my partner enjoyed asking questions about the farm and it was the perfect end to our trip. Campsite was spacious and Jay provided a large picnic table and a toilet for us which was great.
Short drive to Cape Charles and Savage Neck and there’s a Walmart 9 minutes away if you forgot anything.

Perfect for a large group. Very spacious spots, isolated. The location is perfect for a nice walk to the beach. The host is very responsive he keeps the place nice and clean. We asked to use the pool and it was refreshing for the summer heat. This is one of my favorites spots and I would definitely stay again before the end of summer.

Nice quiet, clean, spacious spot on the edge of one of their farm fields. Picnic table and fire pit set up there for campers to use. It was absolutely perfect for someone like me driving down south needing a last minute spot to pitch a tent for the night, in order to catch some shut eye before hitting the toad again at 6am.

We loved staying 2 nights at Michael’s farm with our camper! It was a very secluded and well maintained spot that our dog could roam freely as well. We had the wood line behind us and a great view of the farm and sunsets in front of us. We enjoyed exploring the property with his private trail that both kid and dog had fun killing time on. All his farm animals were an extra perk and we grew fond of Baby Bull. Michael was very welcoming once we arrived and very responsive with a small glitch in the water line that was fixed in no time! While exploring the property we saw the other camp site with all the same accolades as ours. We hope to return again as this was a truly quiet, secluded and peaceful experience!

What a GREAT spot! The directions were spot on. The hosts were great. Greeting me and making sure I had everything I needed and replied to messages quickly. It was very quiet and lovely.
I brought bug spray, but they were too bad. Except, I did find a tick on me. So be careful. Nothing can be done about that. I WILL be back to the fabulous spot. Thank you Hosts for making a perfect place for me to pitch my tent.
