Activities on the property include: - birdwatching (see if you can add to our list of 50+ species so far!) - spotlighting for nocturnal wildlife - find a quiet spot to sit and soak up the peace of nature... perhaps by the tranquil wetland overflow wall - bushwalking around the perimeter of the endangered Swamp Sclerophyll Forest - private orienteering course (bring your compass! Takes 1-2 hours) -Light a fire under the cast-iron outdoor bath and soak away any stress Attractions close to the property include: - beautiful beaches only 2 km away, great for swimming, surfing or whale watching from the headland - State Forest 2km away, great for hiking and mountain biking - Woolgoolga 5km away, with great cafes and shops We are friendly, nature-loving couple who feel very lucky to be custodians of this special land. Welcome to the Blue Lagoon, our very own piece of paradise, we cannot wait to share with you. Situated on over 100 acres in Upper Orara, just 20 minutes west of Coffs Harbour. The beauty of this place is that it's a private campsite, this stunning waterhole is all yours to enjoy, with only one booking taken at a time. (Note: The booking is for 2 people for the entire site- then a small extra charge for additional guests) This magical waterhole has crystal clear spring-fed water, where you’ll be able to enjoy spotting fish, turtles, and a platypus along with stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, bird watching, bushwalking, and simply relaxing. IMPORTANT: The camp is for self-contained campers only. You MUST have your own toilet, water and take all waste with you when you go. This is non-negotiable. The nearest dump point is in Coffs Harbour. PLEASE NOTE: The property lies on river frontage and is subject to flooding in heavy rain. Please check in with us 3 days prior to arrival to confirm conditions. In the case of flooding, a full refund will be issued, or an alternate campsite on higher ground may be available. The photos display pristine blue waters, which is what is so magical about this place. However after heavy rain, the water colour can change in appearance. Campfires are permitted in the designated fire ring, when local restrictions are not in place. FIREWOOD is available to purchase. BBQ LAMB packages are also available to purchase. We have parma wallabies on site and rainforest views. A walk through the paddock brings you to a beautiful rainforest alcove. Amazing bird watching, including black cockatoos and owls. We are 5kms away from Greater Glider habitat and we're waiting patiently to see a koala again after the 2019 fires. Suited to self-contained campers, an external shared bathroom is available and an additional composting toilet. There is no dump point. This was the loveliest overnight stop for me on the way up to Brisbane from Vicoria. Nice flat ground and a bit enough area for a larger vehicle. special signs reminding us to smile and the beautiful sacred godess tree to help guide the windy road ahead. they had fresh running water to refill very clean composting toilets and a shower. Even though us trucker just of the long open road were a bit dusty around the gills I think the purity and love we felt at the Yellow Butterfly meant we need not have a shower as we were cleansed and afresh after our peaceful nights stay.

The site was really easy to find, and the instructions given by the hosts for the different tent spots was easy to navigate once there. We set up in the Big 4 tent area and it was beautiful - the spot was private and spacious, perfect for camping. The communal fire pit was great also! So much wildlife to see & hear!

Corrine is a wonderful host with a beautiful property and personality. I was so happy to be shown local areas to explore and we had a great time. I do wish we had a little more privacy, there are children on the property and the campsite is fairly close to the main house. But we still had an amazing time.

Omg the best camping spot ever! Super lucky to snag a cancellation one night when scrolling through hipcamp! Stayed 3 nights on this stunning property! Laura and Dougie were awesome to deal with and easy to get in contact with, will definitely be booking next year! Probably my most favourite spot yet, couldn’t fault! Definitely pay the extra for the bath!

Only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed several. Fantastic location. I think Russell Crowe will definitely be using it as a film location when the coffs harbour studios are up and runnning. A very peaceful private relaxing easily accesible spot close to Coffs Harbour. Great for kids or small groups. Laura was very helpful and friendly. We`ll definitely be back
