My hubby, dog and I went on a spontaneous last minute glamp trip here. We were so comfortable and felt like there was a good amount of privacy in our tent. We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely be back!! My recommendations are to definitely bring a good blanket and pillow if you are picky about that kind of thing! The bed and set up was perfect for our stay and extra spacious for bringing people with you. Our sunset view was beautiful!

Weekend Trip to Waterfall Sanctuary
It was awesome. Tyla was super accommodating. Makes sure you have or have access to anything you might need (water,wood,shower,coffee,etc) The site itself was awesome, well kept. Unique and comfortable. It was a Perfect little getaway for our family trip. Stargazer has a big wide open site surrounded by trees but enough space for the family to move around and enjoy themselves. She immediately gave us a printout of all the recommended nearby local spots, so we were able to make plan out the rest of our time around it. We decided to go on the hike to Falls Creek Falls. It was amazing. 5 mile round trip hike but it’s nothing crazy, mostly flat ground, our 4 year old was able to do it. Way worth it.

Weekend Trip to Crown Point Hipcamp
We came out to glamp for my partner’s birthday and had a wonderful weekend. The property is breathtaking this time of year. Flower trees blooming everywhere. We had everything we needed plus some. Were used to camping camping so we brought way more than we needed on the supplies list. The yurt was stunning and so nice to sleep in. We had a great time exploring the properties offerings including our new goat friends! We will be back! Lovely people own this space. I can’t say enough about how wonderful they were to us. Grateful for the time we got to spend. 10/10 would recommend!!

Weekend Trip to Waterfall Sanctuary
Tyla was very kind and accommodating. The stargazer tent was beautiful and fit our family of five. We also appreciated the platform deck and firepit. The bathrooms and showers were very barebones, had cobwebs and spiders and could use some TLC. Our kids preferred the outhouse, which was very clean and didn't smell at all. We enjoyed the goats and even though we didn't get to go in the sauna, it was very cool to have access to one. Thanks for sharing your land, Tyla.

What an amazing, unique place to stay! The location is perfect for exploring. She has made the most of this gem of a property. I stayed at sight 6 with my pup and it was perfect. The tent was big enough for me to make this a yoga retreat - and what a view! Her animals were all beautiful (all types). It was just what I needed! So very thankful!

Celestine fields was a great get away for my partner and I even on a cold rainy weekend. We were able to relax while still staying connected. This really gave us novice campers the ability to camp in the elements without have to worry. I'm sure this property is even more incredible in the Summer! I could definitely see myself coming back!

More info under the pet rule section. Thank you! Waterfall Sanctuary is a hidden gem on 17 acres, bordered on two sides by the Gifford Pinchot N F. In the heart of the Columbia River Gorge just outside Carson, Washington, it is home to a mini-farm with goats, ducks, & chickens. Deer & elk walk through the property on a fairly regular basis depending on the season, it's less than a mile walk (or short drive) to the Wind River & a swimming hole, & a short distance further is the Pacific Crest Trail. A 20-minute drive & you're at the Columbia River. An hour to the West is Portland if you are in the mood for some city life, & 35 minutes east is Hood River, a gorgeous old town with tons of charm. The closest town, Stevenson, Washington is home to shops, local restaurants, & access to the Columbia River. Also in close proximity are amazing waterfalls, trails, & National Forest roads that are close by & well maintained. No matter the season there is something to do a short distance from the property. Keep in mind that the property is very rugged except for the trails we have provided to access other parts of the property. We are as off grid & sustainable as possible- while no electricity or running water is available at the individual sites, we provide battery or solar operated lighting, & a container of water for each site.

Learn more about our land: In the heart of Willamette Valley AVA and on a breezy 20-acre lot of land we provide a space for you to set yourself up and enjoy life's natural bounty. We offer a small shared space with a wood fire stove and some essential items, many games (such as horseshoes), and lots of picnic areas and tables sprinkled throughout the property. The location is central and half an hour to just minutes away from water bodies Hagg Lake, Nestucca River, Yamhill River, little Niagara Falls, Mill Creek, Baker Creek, Rainbow Lake and more… Such as the Carlton public pool. If your looking to jaunt from camp a little further, we are located a little over an hour and a beautiful drive to the Pacific Coast and about an hour from Portland. Although in the middle of the country woods, we are surprisingly only two and a half miles from the adorable and quaint town of Carlton. So beside the views, you’ll be alongside some fantastic eateries and outstanding winemakers.  Being raised in the community, and over ten years of experience in the local food and wine industry, I can give recommendations aplenty.   ꕥ  The property has been in our family since the late 60’s and has recently been transferred in ownership to the next generation! It’s been a large adjustment with many precious memories in tow. In hopes to carry on the legacy we opened up camp mid-summer 2021, and it’s a work in progress (as work normally is!), but has been a beautiful experience being in a position to share. There are two family homes on the property with people who truly admire this land we have been given so we do ask you to respect our process in this adjustment, as we miss our grandparents and parents who have worked their entire lives for us to be here. With the work of these past couple seasons, and thanks to our fellow campers, we have been able to lay more gravel, get a more fluid bathroom situation established, and have purchased a 20ft stargazing tent that is in the works of being listed this season! Crown Point Camp is the perfect gorge base camp on the Western edge of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, a Gateway to hiking, biking, kayaking, windsurfing and many other Adventures! Our camp is right off the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Highway just minutes away from Portland Women's Forum and Crown Point, the Jewel of the Columbia. Our facilities include an outdoor shower, a solar-powered composting toilet, fresh water, fire pits, and plenty of flat ground surrounded by trees for excellent camping! Please read this whole message so you are not surprised when you get here! Note: The use of the sauna, hot tub, and composting toilet are only for Glamp bookings! The campsites and tipi use the port-a-potty and have the use of an on-demand outdoor shower. Our home and farm is on two acres. Your tent site, is all in our ample acreage. Although pets are welcome, we expect them to be well-behaved around our two cats, our own big sweetie of a pup, Frejya, our two crazy goats Cupcake and Muffin, and our free-ranging chickens. Expect to hear some animal noises here on the farm. Our property literally borders the scenic highway. Because we are so close, you can hear the sunset-view-seeking drivers, motorcycle riders, and yes, racers who come out this way for a spin on one of the most scenic highways in the world. Traffic quiets down after dark and mornings are quite 'chill'. If you like what you are reading, please feel free to book with us and take off for your bike journey or hiking adventure from here.
