Redhill is a town in the Mid North adjacent to the Broughton River. A great gateway town on the Flinders Ranges and great place to get away from the hustle and bustle yet close to major highways and amenities. Off the Augusta Highway. Currently used as a farm paddock land, a great place to camp overnight with views over the area. 4WD access recommended. The town has other facilities nearby. Self sufficient site. Gateway town to much more in the Mount Remarkable region.

Eckert’s Old Place

We are a Poll Merino sheep stud and a wheat/barley cropping farm at Emu Downs in the Mid North of SA. We have resurrected this character old workers quarters which we've turned into a rustic, peaceful abode for you to enjoy. 

Sleeps four (double bed, single bed and old miners couch,). Bring your own bedding.  There is a flushing external toilet and a bush shower (ie: a shower bag, provided). 

The room with the open fire can be utilised as a kitchen/living area. We've provided crockery, cutlery, glasses, kettles and a camp oven. There is running cold rainwater into the sink. Cooking can be done on the open fire, or use the small camp gas cookers. There is also a gas BBQ in the outdoor room. If you are really brave, try your hand at camp oven cooking in the campfire. There is no power, only lighting provided from a small solar panel/battery.

Extra guests welcome in tents, swags or vans adjacent to the cottage. To ensure only one group of campers at a time, THE COTTAGE HAS TO BE BOOKED FIRST, then book the extra campers through the additional campsites listing.

Eckert's Old Place is within an easy drive to the Clare Valley wine regions and historic Robertstown, Burra and Eudunda. 

Campfires welcome when not in fireban season.  You can order a wheelbarrow load for $30, or bring your own. Dogs are permitted, but please understand, we are a sheep stud and need to ensure no disturbance from dogs. Please advise if you intend to bring your dog.

Tarlee - Serenity

We are located just off the Horrocks Highway on the way to the Clare Valley amongst 42 acres of peppermint gum scrub sheltered by the ranges west of Tarlee. Here you will find lovely spread out camping spots with plenty of space to explore, quiet country roads for walking or riding with spectacular views of the ranges and valley as well as Kangaroos, Kookaburras and more native wildlife.

Bush camping at its best.

Firewood available to purchase on arrival, $25 for a large container and fire drums are provided.

NO CHAINSAWS

A beautiful peaceful spot with plenty of space for caravans, campers, tents and swags.

We have a small flock of sheep to pat, children love to ride their push bikes down the hills and through the tracks.  Our scrub is perfect for outdoor imagination and bundles of energy.  Campers have made cubbies in the trees, tyre swings and set up hammocks for lazy afternoons or a swing.

Pick a site that suits you best, set up camp, light a fire and sit back and relax.

 Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail.

The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them.  With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy!

There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes.

Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA.  Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh.

There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock

and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet.

Great Hotels/pubs to dine in at Tarlee and Riverton. Emporium cafe for the best coffee in Riverton

Important Information to know before 

ALL GUESTS/VISITORS MUST BE BOOKED IN BEFORE ENTERING OUR PROPERTY!!!

All campers must check in BEFORE 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please make a booking for the following day instead. Generators are allowed on the unpowered sites, please respect other campers with turning them off by 10 pm at the latest.

No chainsaws on property.

Loud music not permitted, please turn silent by 8.30PM

Pets are allowed, as long as they are on leashes at all times

STRICTLY NO MOTORBIKES  RIDDEN ON PROPERTY

No rally driving.

Cockatoo Valley Tiny Vacations

It is with great sadness that due to circumstances beyond our control, at this stage, are forcing us to cease sharing our property by 27th November 2025.We have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and making friendships with visitors and invite you to still contact us and visit the farm and animals. Cheryl 0421 521 733This 20 acre working property is dedicated to our horses, dogs, birds and relaxing!You are welcome to wander into the big paddock to access the walking trails and continue on to explore the scrub area where many native birds come and go including kookaburras.The line of trees planted in the gully area are dedicated koala forage trees so also wander down there and have a look and see if you can spot one.Your relaxed property walk will take you past paddocked sheep (they may run up to you if they think  you have something for them to eat. Cut apples or carrots into pieces for them ) Rams and Whethers are together in their own paddock, alpacas  and Bobby are in with the Ewes and any lambs at the time protecting them from predators  in another paddock.There are horses, Dallas the mule (please do not enter their paddocks) , wild ducks at the dam, as well as our ducks and geese if they are out of their enclosure that day.  There are raceways between all paddocks to continue your walk all around the property. Beware of the electric fencing though, it hurts if you touch it!We also have some very friendly chooks and turkeys that LOVE to say hello and be hand fed chopped up pieces of apple, carrot, grapes and especially watermelon! Feel free to give them any food scraps you might have. We also have a family of magpies will enjoy any meat scraps you leave for them too.Dallas, our mule is always up for a bit of attention and any apples or carrots you might like to share with him.Dallas is rather special as his dad is a "mammoth donkey" who has been imported from America. His mum is a stunning thoroughbred. Mammoth donkeys  are a  bigger/taller breed of donkey than Australian donkeys are. They are beginning to be used up north on stations instead of horses as mules are sturdier, more sure footed, not as flighty as horses so safer for stock men and women to use working with cattle. They can live into their late 30,s so have a longer working life as well. Dallas was born in 2023Campsites 1, 2 and 3 are on the right hand side as you drive in via the automatic opening gate which you will be given access to once we have added your mobile number to the system after you have booked. We are currently planting more native shrubs and trees in this area to encourage even more bird life plus provide future windbreaks and further divide sites. From this area you will see the most spectacular sunsets and be able to have an open campfire during winter season.The Dam It site, Tree line site and Solar paddock site are through another gate on the left hand side opposite site 3/ the paddock with the solar panels in it before you reach our residence, aviaries and toilet.It is also through this gate you go to access the walking trails.Besides sitting back relaxing reading a book with a nice local wine in your hand there are other nearby options to fill your days while staying on our property.Take a short drive down Goldsfield Rd to the Mining Museum and hiking trails. A few KM's towards Williamstown stop in and see the Whispering Wall, built between 1899 and 1903, for its time of construction the dam was deemed a revolutionary engineering marvel. Sounds and voices, even a whisper can be clearly heard at the other end of the dam more then 100 meters away.Continue on through Williamstown and hire a kayak and explore the Warren Reservoir with the resident pelicans. The Warren reservoir was built on the South Para River between 1914 and 1916. Mt Crawford forest is then another short drive on where you can hike, ride and picnic and be guaranteed to see kangaroos in their natural habitat.We are also ideally located being at the gateway to numerous wineries, take your e-bike and explore the towns in the Barossa Valley which are linked with rose lined bitumen trails, explore the shops, cafes and enjoy delectable food, stop in at the Lavender Farm, treat yourself to a scenic flights with Barossa Helicopters or challenge yourself at Barossa Bowland and fantastic themed Dinosaur mini golf just to name even more options!Less than 10 minute drive from our front gate will have you at the lovely town of Lyndoch where the local IGA is a handy stop for those emergency essentials as well as the local bakery, craft shop, pub, post office, Lord of Lyndoch restaurant, Table Cafe Kies winery for starters. 10 Minures the other direction will see you at a new suburb Springwood which has a variety of shops and a Chemist, couple minutes further will have you at the lovely town of Gawler. The visitor center here is also home to local artists to exhibit their works.Like to kayak? Well a short drive will take you to spectacular opportunities to do so. Hire is also available at the site at different times of the year.Love exploring by bike? You are at the heartland of multiple trails you can access too. Local bike hire options are available too.As you can see, you have plenty of options to tailor your stay to suit the type of experience you are after.No responsibility taken for any injury or accident to Campers, their property and pets while camping at Tiny Vacations. In a great area, with lovely views, close to wineries and local attractions. Access to the Reisling Trail, Gateway to the Clare Valley Wine Region.

Nice level sites under big gum trees. Easy access with turn around area, right off the highway. 

No access to the cottage at this stage, but free access to the decks.
