Bryton Wood Campsite

Moorak, South Australia. Our property is located 5km south of Mt Gambier with distant views of the extinct volcano including the Blue Lake and crater Lakes precinct. No facilities. Due to council regulations we can only accept self-contained campervans and caravans with internal toilet/ensuite. 

Traditional, ancestral territory of the Boandik First Nations people. We are situated on a quiet country road. This camp site is a fenced two-acre paddock surrounded on the east, south and west sides with revegetation of local native trees, shrubs and grasses. 

This area is a fabulous star gazing location with a clear and un-obstructed horizon. The historical Centenary Tower and Crater Lakes can be seen from the campsite. 

Campfires and firewood available. Firewood available on request ($10/bag at 10kg includes kindling). Pets welcome but we request they're on lead for safety of your pet. 

Bryton Wood campsite is only 7min drive to the heart of Mt Gambier, 20min to the coast and beaches, and 30min to the Glenelg River in western Victoria.

Mt Gambier has a range of attractions including:

- Blue Lake and crater lakes precinct

- Engelbrecht Cave, Umpherston Cave, and Cave Gardens

- Wulanda Recreation Centre

- Little Rippa Brewery

- Blue Lake and Attamarra Golf Courses

Our property is located in Canuda, the terrain is hilly with several clear, flat spots good for camping. The entire 33 acres is available for you to explore on a nature walk. 

Any clear area within the boundary is available to camp in but a site needs to be booked and I will suggest an appropriate location.

Being a declared scrub block it is undisturbed and snakes are present but if you leave them alone they will mind their own business.

Small fires are permitted, only where a fire ring exists and out of fire ban season. Check listing details for more information. Gas fires and BBQ are not permitted during total fireban. More appropriate instructions are provided the day prior to booking in.

The Canunda National Park is only a 4km drive from the property and has plenty of stunning beaches and beautiful walks you can enjoy. It is also a popular fishing spot and has some great 4WD tracks to explore.

We have 80 acres of farm, approximately 15 minutes from town. Our campsites are located in a paddock on our farm, perfect for off grid self contained campers. Access to campsites is Via Brown Road, not Caroline Road. Please see directions once booking is made.

We are not far from The Blue Lake, The little blue is also close by, and is perfect for swimming in summer. The Umpherston Caves is literally just down the road, and is wonderful for a picnic, or on dusk feeding the possums. 

Sites are approx 20m x 20m, lined with trees, perfect for pitching a tent, parking a van, camper trailer, RV, or even a bus! You can even bring your boat! 

We are only 25 minutes away from Port MacDonnell, put your boat in, go fishing or just enjoy the beach. 

One van/tent per site (unless negotiated prior). Our sites are all located in a back paddock, it's quiet and peaceful. We have sites available to cater for RVs, vans and tents.

Must be self-contained (no facilities provided, must dispose of waste at approved dumpsites in town), take your rubbish with you; dogs are welcome if they are friendly and well behaved.

Beachport Caravan Park has a great mix of accommodation to suit all kinds of travellers. Whether you're after a simple cabin, something with a few extra comforts, or room for the whole family, we've got you covered.

Take your pick from standard or ensuite cabins, our spacious Beach House that sleeps up to 12, or the Surfside Apartments with beautiful ocean views. We also have powered and unpowered sites for caravans and campers, with plenty of drive-through options available.

Travelling with pets? They're welcome on our powered sites - just check with our team first. If you're not sure what option suits best, our friendly staff are always happy to help.

Fartch Road branches off the main road, giving a sence of seclusion and escape as the road turns into a  grassed laneway, running along side a nature reserve. Black cockatoos and a wide variety of bird species, kangaroos, wallabys, rabbits, ring tail possums, wombats, sugar gliders take up residence  amongst the cypress and gum trees surrounding this property.

Favourite time of the day is hearing the resident kookaburra's laughing.

You can walk amongst the cool quiet forests uncovering its secrets, gaze at the star filled sky at night and awaken to the soothing sounds of the resident bird choir. Meet our 2 pet sheep who love a gentle scratch on the head.

Owner of the property Nick is a pilot living in Europe, the property is managed by Kath a very experience holiday accommodation manager who knows what it takes to satisfy a range of guests needs and privacy. Kath lives on property so never far away if need her for anything.

The main house on property is listed as a popular holiday accommodation house, sleeping 6 guests.  We also have a glamping tent on property for seperate hire to the house. 

Our Camp site area for fully self sufficient campers is available in the paddoch area away from the main house block.  We aim to ensure the privavy of the house guests by not entering the house block. 

Campers have access to a rain water tank for drinking water however no hook ups.

15 mins from Mount Gambier and the home of the famous Blue Lake. Explore the many sink holes that are close to the property. 1 hour drive from the ever popular Coonawarra Wine Region and beaches are all within 30 - 45 min away.

Enjoy star filled nights, stunning sunsets and sunrises and breathing in the fresh air surrounding Bella Mia.

Coastal Calm at Cape Douglas

Private lakes with bird life, ocean views or bush walks with the local roos and wombats.  Short 15 minute drive to the busy seaside town of Robe.  Quick 5 minute walk to Nora Creina Bay.
