Come and escape to our stunning off-grid cabin in Wondecla, located in the serene Atherton Tablelands. Surrounded by beautiful gum trees in a natural setting, it's the perfect destination for those seeking tranquillity and relaxation. Our host has expertly constructed the cabin from a combination of recycled and new materials, featuring large windows that offer breath-taking views of the surrounding landscape.

Booking the cabin grants you exclusive use of the entire campsite, and you have the option to invite friends and family to join you for a small fee. The cabin itself provides a peaceful retreat, equipped with a comfortable bed, fresh linens, and all the amenities you need to feel at home. Powered entirely by a solar 12v system, the cabin provides a sustainable off-grid living experience. Wake up to the sounds of nature, step out onto your private deck, and take in the breath-taking views of the surrounding wildlife.

Our campsite offers a range of amenities, including a large fire pit for cosy evenings and a fully-equipped outdoor kitchen for preparing meals. The outdoor shower is spacious, providing a unique experience of showering under the stars. We source hot water from rainwater tanks or the nearby creek during dry seasons, so you can still enjoy a warm shower even while off-grid.

Surrounded by stunning natural beauty, with gum trees towering overhead and the sounds of birds and wildlife in the background, it's the perfect place to relax, unwind and reconnect with nature. This campsite would accommodate multiple camper vans and cars, and is located on the bend of the creek with steps down into the water. There are large trees and abundant bird life, and you may spot a
platypus if lucky.
A large fire pit is set up for all your camp oven cooking.

Chirpy Camp

This is a very private camp for tent or a roof top camper, maximum 2 people. Camp by the creek and enjoy the birdlife, and peace and quite. There is an open fire available and plenty of wood to collect.

Chicken Run Camp

This is a peaceful campsite, with plenty of timber for an open fire, and flat grassy areas. It's a short walk to creek. Abundant bird life. Wake up to the rooster crowing, goats baaing and birds chirping.
Enjoy the evenings around the campfire.

All Terrain 4x4 Park Aka Low 4 Adventures

We are a group of like minded 4WD people who enjoy the great outdoors. The property provides tracks for driving, catering for different levels of experience and a large, flat area has been cleared for camping with ammenities. There is the added bonus of a seasonal creek for cooling off, scenic views and still only a one hour drive from Cairns. Mareeba is nearby for shopping essentials and the like, and places of interest such as Davies Creek and Granite Gorge are also nearby.The property is only available certain dates of the year - please check the calendar for availability or contact us if you have a special request. In the event that you have a minimum of 4 vehicles, subject to our availability we are flexible and may operate outside of our designated camp dates with notice.Dog friendly, 4 flushing toilets and a hot and a cold shower. Resonance - Forest Song

Boonjie is a great place to base yourself to visit the amazing sights in the surrounding area! Our property has beautiful native visitors, including the occasional cassowary, and regular morning choir of ground dwelling chowachillas.

This campsite suits self reliant and self contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and water supply.

Lamins Hill lookout, and the entrances to Windin Falls, and the famous trek up Queensland’s Highest Mountain, are only minutes away. So too, are the Atherton Tablelands‘ crater lakes, Eacham & Barrine, and the small town of Malanda, with its iconic falls, both designated swimming destinations, though, highlights are the clear creeks between there and Boonjie (means mate). This is near “Top Camp”, where First Nations people would arrive after the gruelling walk up the Russel River, from the coast, where Innisfail now stands (Innisfail can be seen from the top road). 

With evidence of European and Chinese gold miners, from the 1900’s, this spot is both remote AND central, for a day trip to Millaa Millaa’s extraordinary Falls circuit, Herberton’s Historical Village and the flowered and funky Yungaburra.
