Lucky for us, Bredl's Wild Life farm is just around the corner! The Midge Point boat ramp is only a 15 minute drive from the property. However you choose to spend your day, you'll be happy to know that also in the beachside town of Midge Point, you'll find the Point tavern, for delicious dinner and cold beers! And for only a five minute drive, you'll find the 24hr BP service station, with a bottle shop open 10am-8pm. They also provide hot showers! The property is roamed by many farm and wild animals! Keep an eye out for the gorgeous wildlife amongst the property, as you may be lucky enough to see an echidna or a dear! We have domesticated donkeys, pigs, goats, sheep, birds etc-please note our animals are free range so please ensure you secure your food and belongings. Fruit Farm Camp offers a peaceful retreat for mature travellers. The unpowered mown campsites are situated ajacent to a farm unfenced dam and on cleared acreage surrounded by natural bush. After 6 months touring Queensland in 2021 with our own caravan, we decided to develop a picturesque area at the back of our land for mature travellers to enjoy. 20 Years ago the land was virgin scrub, now there are over 300 established different exotic fruit, nut, spice and bush tucker trees and plants. We use a number of different farming techniques. Our own beehives provide pollination and honey. A small farm produce shop is available. Guests have access to a toilet, solar powered showers and the camp kitchen throughout their stay. Campfires are permitted outside of restrictions and we have firewood available for guests to use on site. There is a 1.5 km undulating bush walk on the property requiring average fitness. We are located four kilometres from the Bruce Highway at Bloomsbury, access is via sealed road then 300m of gravel road through the farm. We are just 10 mins from the beach or O'Connell river fishing, 1 hour to Mackay or Airlie Beach, 3 kms to the Dittman Bullarama site and 15 minutes to Bredls Wild Farm. Well behaved pets are welcome. The campsite sits on a gentle slope, so a little leveling may be required. The house is within view, but you won’t have to camp facing us. We’re just 15 minutes from Airlie Beach, 10 minutes from Proserpine, 10 minutes from beautiful Conway Beach, and 5 minutes from Cedar Creek Falls. At the moment, we’re upgrading the driveway entry, so please be aware. We’re super pet-friendly and have two of our own friendly pets who love meeting new visitors!

We stayed one night only, but there are plenty of things to do on the property and in the district if you wanted to stop for a couple of days. The kitchen is quirky but very well equipped, the showers were hot. Nick and Kaye were excellent hosts, we can recommend Fruit Camp Farm.

The whole experience at Fruit Farm Camp was so welcoming and relaxing. Our hosts were amazing and informative, loved the tour and fruit tasting. The drinks with the other guests around the campfire on our last night was memorable. Would definitely recommend it to anyone passing through. We will be back.

Loved staying at alex’s farm, looked like he had built some custom fire pits which were made to good use, and he was super helpful, sorting us out with some firewood when we were in need. Was great seeing the donkeys aswell, alex went out of his way to bring down one of his donkeys, was a real treat.

The family loved camping here. We came for 4 nights and loved that much we stayed an extra two nights. There was amenities, flushing toilet and hot shower. The views were great and the camp site was so relaxing and peaceful. The host, Ben was great, he checked in when we arrived then left us to enjoy his beautiful place. Our daughter also loved here. Camped here with a few mates and honestly, it was spot on. Tucked away among fruit trees, it’s peaceful, private, and has a really laid-back vibe. The sunsets over the mountains were next level – definitely a highlight each evening. The fire pit was a great touch, perfect for kicking back around with a drink and good yarns. Facilities were clean and well set up, and the property itself is beautiful – even had some friendly cattle wandering nearby which added to the charm. If you’re chasing a quiet spot with good views, nature all around, and space to relax with your crew, this place delivers. We’ll definitely be back.

Ben has such a beautiful piece of land. It was a great spot to spend the night, we genuinely wish we had more time to stay and relax! The facilities were clean, well maintained and very welcoming after 3 weeks on the road. The orchard was a great open space and would be ideal for a group, and was great for our set up. If we’re ever on the road up north again, we will be sure to come back!
