WILDLIFE SPOTTING Situated at 43m above sea level, our land boasts a rich abundance of native plants and wildlife. Marvel at the sight of gorgeous and rare parrots, swamp-faced and golden wallabies, koalas, bush-turkeys, possums, water dragons, and echidnas – a testament to our proud position within a vital conservation area. TO SEE AND DO Explore the winding Currumbin Valley and uncover its hidden gems. Take a trip to the beach, home to the renowned Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Nearby attractions include the Rock Pools, Elephant Rock, Balter Brewing Company, Freeman's Organic Farm, Superbee Honeyworld, Surf World Gold Coast, Sanctuary Markets (Friday night food trucks), and Currumbin Alley Surf School, to name just a few. Indulge in the abundance of delicious cafes just minutes down the road. AMENITIES AND THINGS TO NOTE Prior to booking, please review all site photos. This will help you to decide if our site is a right fit for your needs. The site has an 11% off-level terrain. Assistance aids for levelling your vehicle are available. While tents are welcome, please be aware that the ground is hard gravel and 11% off-level. Most suited to 4WD. Camp trailers, Vans, Camper vans, Roof pop tops, Off-road camp trailers, Expedition trailers, All-terrain vans. Arriving in daylight is highly recommended. If it has rained near the time of your booking, a 4WD is recommended especially if you are towing. Not suitable for caravans unless you are highly proficient in reversing your rig 60m uphill. Reversing and pulling into the site as noted in photos is the best way to utilise the site. Trust us, we know! If you lack confidence in doing so, kindly consider alternative options. The illustrated caravan in the photo is 5 meters. Campers must be fully self-contained with their own camping toilet. Please refrain from arriving and asking where the bathroom facilities are. Domestic power (not 3-phase) and cold town water are provided. Leashed small dogs are permitted; however, pet waste must be promptly removed. Sleeping arrangements: We have a custom-made inner spring mattress that is an unusual size due to the vintage age of the vintage caravan & therefore the size, is in between a King-single & double size width & a queen-size length (which may or may not be big enough for 2 people depending on your sleeping expectations). The actual measurements are: 1.13M wide & 2M long. There is also a separate king single-size bed, on the other end of the caravan, suitable for another adult, a child or two small children. All linen and bath towels etc are provided. The caravan is very cosy, with a TV, stereo, fridge, sink, wardrobe & storage space. The property is not far from the beautiful bathhouses of Mullumbimby too ie Kiva Spa & Banya bathhouse We are a pet-friendly property. If you wish to bring your friendly pet, they are welcome, but we charge a small fee $25 . Please select that you have a pet when making your booking. There are other sites available upon arrival that depend on your vehicle and needs. You will have to be a competent driver but will get to this site without drama. You are off grid so will have to be self-sufficient. You do have fast internet. When possible, I'll meet you on the road and guide you in for the first time. You will have good directions after booking and meeting you would not be essential. We don't allow riding of motor bikes and being in a valley we must be very considerate of noise at night. People come here for peace. You must be respectful of other guests and people when passing on the road, any dogs must be fully under control and tied up at night. You will be asked to leave if we have any trouble. The number of people on the property must not exceed the number of people booked, *this includes day visitors. As we are right up a valley on a single lane road traffic must be kept to a minimum. We recommend you do a supermarket shop before coming out here. Bicycles are great in this region.It is a 20-minute drive to some of the most beautiful quiet beaches on this coast, 35 mins to the popular Byron Bay and 40 minutes to Tweed heads/Ballina or Gold coast Queensland. This area is mixed farming and Burringbar town offers most services. These include, a very good Butcher, Post Office, General store, a nice Café. Also, a classic sports club does a dinner from Wednesdays onwards and there is a Thai as well, they do a good takeaway. The fishing village of Brunswick heads operates throughout the week and is very popular. Pottsville is also very close with many amenities. There is also a classic Aussi pub in Moobal.

This area is mixed farming and Burringbar town offers most services. These include, a very good Butcher, Post Office, General store, a nice Café. Also, a classic sports club does a dinner from Wednesdays onwards and there is a Thai as well, they do a good takeaway. The fishing village of Brunswick heads operates throughout the week and is very popular. Pottsville is also very close with many amenities. There is also a classic Aussi pub in Moobal.

The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes. Currently, two sites are available to be booked. A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres.

This unique abode, has a relaxed feel on a 5 acre property, close to the Byron town (only 13kms) but far enough away to enjoy the solitude the hinterlands offers with access to wide open fresh air. It consists of a 1964 original vintage caravan, with an open-plan living/dining area, a gorgeous industrial-style bathroom, with a glass ceiling for star gazing & an outdoor fire-pit. The open air living allows guests to feel 100% connected to the natural environment, while at the same time having access to reliable, fast internet along with the comforts of a hot shower, flush loo etc. It is an ideal way to capture the restored feeling from remote camping, without the hassle of taking all your camping gear. Sleeping arrangements: We have a custom-made inner spring mattress that is an unusual size due to the vintage age of the vintage caravan & therefore the size, is in between a King-single & double size width & a queen-size length (which may or may not be big enough for 2 people depending on your sleeping expectations). The actual measurements are: 1.13M wide & 2M long. There is also a separate king single-size bed, on the other end of the caravan, suitable for another adult, a child or two small children. All linen and bath towels etc are provided. The caravan is very cosy, with a TV, stereo, fridge, sink, wardrobe & storage space. The property is not far from the beautiful bathhouses of Mullumbimby too ie Kiva Spa & Banya bathhouse We are a pet-friendly property. If you wish to bring your friendly pet, they are welcome, but we charge a small fee $25 . Please select that you have a pet when making your booking. We also request that you kindly ensure that your pet does not go inside the caravan or on any of the furniture including the bed, lounge etc.
