Fantastic place with so much room to explore, hosts are super helpful and lovely. I will be camping here on the regular! Can't wait to see what they do with the cabins and powered sites while still retaining the existing bush camps. The perfect mix

Weekend Trip to Shauna's Shack

We stayed as a couple and had such a great quite peaceful night. Even if anyone else had been there would still have been quiet and relaxing. duane made us feel very welcome and showed us what we needed to know and then left us too it. Had use of the beautiful pool,amenities such as bathroom and kitchen and seating area. If you don’t fancy staying in Katherine then this is a few kms out of town but so worth it. Thanks Duane for a great overnight stay

3 nights at Katherine Farmstay

Greatspot for camping - one more dryer and a 'your stuff was done" basket for the laundry would be good, otherwise I'll be back. Massive rain while there, plenty of places to take cover if needed and site held up with water in only one real spot pooling.

Great spot, nice and secluded. Swimming holes throughout property. Powered/ non-powered sites are coming along great. Very close to the gorge.

We enjoyed our stay at the Escarpment hipcamp. Was a great base while we explored Nitmiluk National Park and Katherine township. We would recommend and book again if we end up back in the area.

Nice private camping with a great little waterhole to swim and plenty to do if you love exploring! Wayne is very helpful and accommodating and we had a great stay. Thank you, Wayne!

2 nights at Edith’s Farm

We loved our time at Edith’s Farm! Morgan was lovely at our meet & greet. With the ground being so wet, Morgan allowed us to camp near the Donga up the front on dryer ground & then gave us access to the shower, flushing toilet & washing machine! She went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable & happy where we were. We would definitely recommend a stay at Edith’s farm!

Overview

The outback meets the tropics in Katherine, perched on the banks of the mighty Katherine River. A perennial favorite of road trippers following the Stuart Highway from Darwin (some three hours to the north) to Alice Springs and Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park (more than a day's drive to the south), this small-town outpost has a selection of holiday parks and tourist parks. Most provide powered sites and amenities such as BBQs, a camp kitchen, and a dump station, but you might also have a swimming pool to cool off from the tropical heat—daytime temperatures average over 30°C all year-round—or fuel refills (essential if you're heading into the outback).
