Crystal Creek Ranch

19 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents100 acres · Upper Crystal Creek, NSW
Welcome to my beautiful 100 acres that backs on to Springbrook National Park. There are crystal clear freshwater creeks. Most campsites next to the creek. The property is mostly natural bush with some cleared patches for camping and horse grazing. The road entering the property is damaged due to the resent rain and you will need to drive through water. Most cars are safe but if you have a low set car or if you are delicate with your car I would not recommend. Only 30 mins from natural arch and 20 mins to great fishing and crabbing in the tweed river. Dog friendly (must be well controlled no aggressive dogs). Drop toilets and hot showers. There are 2 cabins available each with private portable toilet and hot outdoor showers. Campfires permitted ( when fire bans not in place) and wood can be purchased in advance during booking process. No fire wood to be collected off property BYO or purchase in advance. Not a place for loud music and parties, happy for everyone to have fun but noise is restricted. If you are a disturbance to other campers you will be asked to leave without a refund. PLEASE READ THE CANCELLATION POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING!!!

Figtree Farm at Findon Creek

4 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents600 acres · Kyogle, NSW
Experience Figtree Farm at Findon Creek, a 600-acre natural oasis. Tucked away in a tranquil, secluded valley, this hidden gem is surrounded by Long Creek to the south and Findon Creek to the west, while the northern edge extends to the breathtaking Border Ranges National Park. On Gullibal land, Figtree Farm provides captivating vistas of Jalgumbin (Mt Lindesay) to the west and Lever's Plateau, a designated wilderness area of unlogged subtropical rainforest, to the north. This much-loved family-owned farm has a rich history, transitioning from a dairy farm to a beef property. Today, it flourishes with a bio-diverse planting of native trees and a bespoke joinery workshop crafting designer furniture. While Figtree Farm has been a camping destination for family and friends for many years and now we're happy to extend this welcome to Hipcampers too. As a starting point for this new venture at Findon Creek we offer 3 sites which are all suitable for larger groups; all situated on grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites, though the flats themselves are not boggy. Explore the great outdoors by wandering along our extensive bush tracks and trying your hand at fishing in our farm dam stocked with silver perch. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.

Emu Creek Retreat

101 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents2800 acres · Tabulam, NSW
Welcome to Emu creek Retreat One of the best destinations for hiking, camping, bushwalking, swimming, Kayaking, fishing, mountain bike riding (bicycles only), bird watching, 4wdriving and even fossicking, since the old gold mining town "Lunatics" was not far away from us. If travelling in a 2wd please contact us before booking, some of the campgrounds have to be reached by crossing the creeks, Girard camp is one of them where the office and the showers are, at times this crossing is under water and is only accessible by 4wd. Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them. One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Gerard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m deep waterfall, nature at it's best. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in the 90's was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property. The front section is undulating with plantation forest (spotted gum) and bushland, towards the back it has mountains, steep terrain and millions of trees with spectacular views and great hiking tracks.

It's a true escape from the hustle and bustle yet only 15 minutes from the big smoke of the gold coast. Mount Bally Cabin is a luxurious tiny cabin in bushland facing Mount Bally. You can call it camping, but really this is glamping on another level. It is situated up high in the trees capturing the valley breezes and views, but most importantly the wild life and peace and quiet. Inside the cabin you will find everything you need. A queen size bed (linen is fitted and supplied), a large reading chair and lounge area. There is a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, complete with fridge and freezer, convection microwave, induction cooktop, espresso coffee machine, tea and coffee making, toaster and kettle. The entrance to the national park is at the back of the cabin, with fantastic walks and water holes along the creek. Mount bally summit hike is at an elevation of 380 meters with extensive views to Byron Bay to Stradbroke island. There is covered parking for 1 car. If you don't feel like cooking there is a great little cafe only 1 minutes drive, that's open for breakfast or lunch. All you need to bring with you is your groceries, toiletries, a towel for swimming in the creek, some good walking shoes and maybe a great book to read. The cabin is not suitable for children or pets. New fire pit installed. Treat yourself to a wonderful time to relax and unwind. You could easily use this as your base while heading off for the day to enjoy all that the Gold Coast has to offer. In August we even have fire flies that can be seen just after sunset along the creeks in the vegetation. The base of the ancient Bally mountain is right here. Offering hiking trails just steps from your campsite. Wander along the charming creeks where you might spot Azure Kingfishers, Satin Bower birds, spotted pardalotes, kookaburras, magpies, spangled drongo, dollar birds, and more.
