Welcome to Big Valley Campsite, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of our family-owned sheep farm, just ten minutes southeast of Margaret River. Set within a beautiful, secluded valley shielded by lush natural forest, our campsite offers a peaceful retreat while remaining central to all the attractions of the Margaret River region. Things to See and Do: Guests are invited to immerse themselves in the authentic farm experience! Join us for the daily sheep feeding at 4 pm (weather permitting), where you can get up close to our friendly flock as they graze the hills. Our free-roaming chickens and guinea pigs add to the charm of farm life, offering plenty of delightful sights for animal lovers. For a more hands-on experience, visit our dedicated guinea pig petting enclosure, open daily from 9–11 am and 3–5 pm. Children are welcome but must be supervised by an adult to ensure everyone’s safety. Pet-Friendly Camping: We know pets are part of the family, so we welcome your furry friends! Please let us know at the time of booking if you’ll be bringing them along, and we’ll provide any specific guidelines to make their stay as enjoyable as yours. Campfire and Safety Information: Please note that, in line with regional fire safety, campfires are prohibited from December to April. We ask all guests to adhere to any fire restrictions in place for a safe and pleasant stay. At Big Valley Campsite, you’ll enjoy a unique farm setting with a warm family atmosphere—perfect for unwinding and exploring the wonders of the Margaret River region!

Please advise what you will be camping in when booking, so we can choose the most suitable site as our powered sites are vary in size. Most powered sites are large and shaded with the few that are not shaded being complimented by views of the rolling hills. Big Valley Campsite is nestled amongst the hills of our family owned working sheep farm, ten minutes south east of Margaret River. Camp fires are prohibited in the Margaret River region between December and April, please follow any restrictions when on the property. Your pets are welcome to join you but please notify the hosts at the time of your booking if they are travelling with you. The farm encompasses a beautiful secret valley hidden from the outside world by natural forest. We are central to the Margaret River region and its tourist attractions.

The farm encompasses a beautiful secret valley hidden from the outside world by natural forest. We are central to the Margaret River region and its tourist attractions.

We loved camping at Big Valley Campsite! The staff were so welcoming and helpful, the campsite was well maintained and all of the amenities were clean and in good condition. The views are incredible and the hot coffee available early in the morning is another bonus! We really enjoyed the communal fire pits, the perfect way to end the night. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Absolutely amazing beautifully kept and maintained place. Sheep and lambs, chickens, a bossy rooster and Guinea pigs wandering around the camp. Kookaburras calling out in the trees, facilities clean modern rustic and very well kept. They sell their own lamb products as its a working sheep farm. We brought a butterflied lamb roast and cooked it on the camp fire in our spun steel oven and was delicious. The rain and wind the whole 3 days we where there definitely did not dampen our experience. Also in close distance of multiple caves, wineries, berry farm and many cute little towns like Witchcliffe, Cowaramup and Margaret River. 100% recommend 👌 😍

This is not a 'corner of a field' Hipcamp but it's not a manicured lawns campsite either. And that's a good thing. You very much feel like you're on the farm with free roaming chickens, sheep in the next paddock and Guinea pigs for good measure. There's superb facilities that look rustic from the outside but are clean and modern inside. Possibly the best campsite showers we've come across. The off-leash dog run is a real bonus and was a real hit with our boy. Be sure to check out the on site shop. We came away with several cuts of lamb for the freezer. We sampled the cutlets while there and they were delicious. Very well priced too. Possibly the best thing overall, the location is perfect for exploring the area being just a few km outside Margaret River itself. We'll be back for sure!

This campsite was our favourite from our whole trip! So much so that we actually came back at the end of the trip for one more night. Fantastic views. Loved the animals. Facilities were perfect and super clean toilets and showers!

Great location to explore the south West from. Great amenities, including a dog run. Friendly and knowledgeable hosts. We were even able to get a dog sitter on site at short notice. Great setting, very much enjoyed our relaxing stay.

We loved staying here with our 2 dogs and cat. It was our final stop on our 13+ month long caravan journey and so happy we decided to stay here. Super friendly staff, large sites, great facilities and nice and quiet. One of the best showers we've had! Multiple laundries, camp kitchens etc. As well as farm animals if you have kids. We'll definitely be staying here again.

Save your money and book direct. We paid $80 per night for 2 adults, 1 child and 1 infant. Unfortunatly we didnt book direct. Long paddock seems the beter location for kids.

We loved our stay at Big Valley. The hosts were super friendly, the facilities were clean and there was so much for the kids to see and do. The kids especially loved seeing at the chickens and Guinea pigs being fed (and loved the snuggles 😊)

This camp ground was an absolute win, everything has been thought of and the kids had a ball. Great coffee van, sheep shearing and the Guinea pigs were an absolute hit for my girls. They will remember this place for a long time. Thanks Shelley!

The kids loved the Guinea pigs, sheep and lamb feeding. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The amenities were Great. The layout is a bit like a caravan park but with the added bonus of the animals and at the right time of year you can have a fire. All at a very reasonably price.
