RiverCamp (Tent Only)
Great river camping!
The tent only site was awesome!! It was so nice being right on the river and hopping in to cool down! Really nice open site with friendly neighbors and the restrooms were clean! We’ll definitely return here!!

Fantastic place to stay on the brazos, plenty of space to spread out, extremely dog friendly! Hosts and management are super friendly and make themselves available without invading your privacy.

This site was great! Having a separate grill and firepit was a nice luxury, campsites were very large allowing campers to choose to camp right near the river, or further back towards the woods was nice, and the restroom situation was very nice as well. I do wish the sites were a little wider to put some additional space between neighbors, but the sites were still much wider and substantially larger than most state park campgrounds. It was also very easy to find flat, level ground for the tent which is a bit of a luxury.
Other nice touches were the services and staff. Everyone we spoke with was very kind and helpful. Firewood might seem a little pricey, but they do give you a very large amount AND deliver it directly to your campsite. All in all, it's appropriately priced due to the amount of wood you get. The delivery is a fantastic bonus.
Overall, I would certainly recommend and return to this site.

Gorgeous location
Gorgeous camping on the shore of the Brazos River with a stunning view. Our family appreciated the camper toilets provided, as well as available ice and firewood. Staff was so outstanding and responsive!

Pretty group of tent sites by river
This is a beautiful location for a short break. It was a quiet spot on a river bend full of mature trees. Clean bathrooms (up some steps) and a friendly host. Every spot has a nice fire pit, picnic table, and great views. I will say, I thought the tent sites were rather close together - maybe 50-70 feet between our fire pit and the next two over (guessing here). But overall a great experience. The wood is a great deal, you get a ton.

What a cool little spot not too far outside of DFW. Super dog friendly, it rained a lot the few days leading up to our trip but the campsites were dry (loved that) bathroom facilities were well maintained (now shower as stated on their page) Spicket was at the main entrance to the campground and the tent campsites were a good mile or so away so I’d just suggest bringing your own water. Bought a wheel barrel full of wood, it’s cedar so burns relatively fast and is no good for cooking. Bring charcoal for their grills or your own means of food prep (I just used my propane burner) we rented kayaks (2 for $70 for 24 hours) but because the river was high and current was iffy they canceled the rentals and offered a refund or to exchange for more wood (we did the latter) some decent trails around the property. I had brought two of my own kayaks so we ended up kayaking across the river and hiking up to the top of the cliff (may have been private property so I’m not suggesting anyone do as we did) also drove down to the boat ramp and launched the kayaks there and floated back to our campsite and that was nice too
