Best owner!
My husband and I were there this past weekend, we booked our camping trip a month ago thinking it was save to at the end of April so it won’t be snow or at least no a lot of snow! Instead we had a huge snow storm and we couldn’t get out to explore as much! Next day we got stuck in the parking site next to our A-frame because the snow was simply too much! I contacted Ricky to see if they offered any road assistance for cleaning the roads over there and told him what it was our current situation on site. He responded immediately and he said he was already on his way to help all of us to get out of the site safely. He indeed clean and clean with the snow. He’s very responsive, communicates often and he’s a very pleasant person. We talked to him and we were so happy to see how committed he is to help others around and help to have a great experience. I can’t express enough how much we appreciate he was so present in every step, even before our arrival. Despite the weather the place was amazing. We’re absolutely coming back in the summer. Ps. Read his description of the type of car you need for the site, he’s not joking 😅

Snowy getaway
The views from Ricks place are top notch. Rick is also the best host you could ask for! Even with 10in of snow outside the cabin stayed warm with the heater and when we got stuck trying to leave Rick was a life saver in pulling us out. If you’re on the fence, book it! We will be coming back for sure!

Perfect little spot close to Denver
These lil A frames are in a beautiful and quiet area, just perfect if not wanting to set up a tent or go too from Denver. The road is a lil sketchy, and we had gotten a surprise snow storm that didn’t help. The heater can be tricky but patience and cracking a window helps. The owner, Rick, answers txts quickly and was very digilent to help. He came and cleared out the snow and helped get a truck unstuck from their spot. Also, very nice and accommodating. Def going to come back in the summer/warmer months. (My lil subie had a hard time making it down the hill in the hill)

Great little getaway!
I truly enjoyed camping here, in spot #5. The shelter is big enough for my queen size air mattress, luggage, and 2 dogs and their bed. I love that the propane is provided for the grill as well as a heater in the shelter, it saved me from having to pack those items. The shelter gets WARM with that little heater, just be sure to crack the window for air supply to the heater so it won’t kick off. You may be able to get to the site without 4x4 or AWD, but it’s better if you do. I met Rick while I was there and he’s a super nice guy, and accommodating. The only thing I want to mention is that you can still hear the traffic of the highway, but overall I definitely recommend this place and will use again in the future!

So fun, so cute, hip camp
Really love this camp! Would be a great jump point to many other adventures, but I came up on it randomly. Road in totally doable in most vehicles, road out more difficult. Bring all the things, bedding etc, grills and heaters available. Will totally be back for more mountain adventures.

Ricks property is amazing and super convenient just a few minutes off of I 70 with beautiful views and great access to spring skiing in Colorado. He was super communicative and friendly and I would happily stay here again.
