The Cob House - Farmstay 40 acres
Serene, enchanting, magical
We had an incredible stay at Cob House! The tiny bedroom building was cozy and warm at night in April. We cooked in the outdoor kitchen and made use of the outdoor shower and outhouse! Get ready for something between camping and "glamping".
We went to Cooks Beach and hiked out at Point Arena, where you can pay $5 to go to the top of the lighthouse.
p.s. my boyfriend proposed up there, so we'll definitely be back!
It was a beautiful, zen, off -the-grid few days spent at Katie's. She's also just a kind, lovely human being, which always makes an experience so much better.

Relaxing Retreat
We spent a lovely couple of nights at Katie's cob cabin. The cabin is situated in such a serene setting with the sound of the ocean nearby, and you can explore some great walking paths without needing your car. Katie herself is incredibly welcoming and accommodating, which added to the overall fantastic experience. The cabin remains comfortably cool even on hot days, providing a peaceful night's sleep. Our dog was as pleased with the stay as we were! If you're looking for a peaceful off-grid break, Katie's cob cabin comes highly recommended.

Perfect blend: camping and comfort
This spot is magical! It's like camping in a Victorian B&B. The impossibly clean cob house has a full wrought iron bed and fluffy comforter, dresser, books, strings of solar lights, lanterns to carry around, and a propane heater (if you need it -- the house seems well-insulated). Katie has created such a thoughtful space, with everything you need: sheltered camping stove and kitchen/sink area, the amazing tree stump shower, and a hammock in the shadiest redwood grove for midday.
Bring plates and pots for cooking, and a cooler. They have the propane, tea kettle, tea, silverware, salt/pepper/olive oil. Katie might even have some vegetables for you from her gardens. Consider bringing camp chairs if you want to sit in the shade (the picnic table is in full sun and PERFECT for nighttime star gazing -- I've never seen the Milky Way so clearly)
There are three working dogs and a couple farm cats on the property; they'll stay with Katie, but you'll meet them when you wander near the house. As a woman, this is a safe place to exhale, soak it in, and let your guard down. IYKYK.
I've stayed at dozens of Hipcamps and this is one of my favorites. I can't wait to go back.

Charming!
What a beautiful place! We enjoyed three peaceful nights at Katie's cob house on Roseman Creek Ranch. Both the cob house and the kitchen house were built with such a charming sense of design. The shower is enchanting. The gardens are delightful - I took notes. Lots to explore in the area. A couple of our favorites are the Cove Coffee house and the New Museum brewery.

The Cob House - Farmstay 40 acres
The Cob House was perfect! We had such a beautiful weekend cozying up in the house, exploring/hiking on the property and in the surrounding towns, and hanging out with all of the sweet animals around the farm (dogs, cats, chickens, and the funniest horse you'll ever meet!) And Katie was such a phenomenal host. We could not have asked for a better weekend away.

The Cob House - Farmstay 40 acres
The Cob House was exactly what we needed for a quiet weekend away. The little house is comfortable, warm, and bright. The land is beautiful with plenty of access to nearby trails and parks. Katie and her menagerie were warm and hospitable. I would absolutely consider staying here again.
