The vibe at Rustic Glamorous Artist's Cabin

This place was perfect. Its a sweet little getaway nestled in the pine trees. The cabin was comfortable and warm, and still felt like a true outdoors experience. We cooked our dinner over the outdoor stove that was great to use and the flame was easy to control to simmer our dish without burning it. The cabin is true to its name in that its an "artist cabin", there were sculptures hung on the walls which gave the place an authentic touch. The hosts of this sweet cabin are incredibly friendly and attentive, and quickly made themselves available if we needed it! Truly a unique and wonderful experience. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!
What an incredible spot! Deb and AJ are gracious, accommodating Hosts who go above and beyond and made our stay so wonderful. The space itself is cozy, well decorated and clean, surrounded by endless wilderness at your doorstep. Everything we needed was provided -- from cookware to firewood, water, etc. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Will definitely be back in the future!
We loved our one night stay at this sweet, little cabin. Everything was clean, tasteful, and comfy. Deb and AJ are wonderful hosts, and made us feel welcome and right at home, while also letting us enjoy our privacy. There are great places to hike right out the door with nice views. We enjoyed dinner on the patio, and lost count of all the stars we could see. The best part: we got all of this within an hour's drive of the Front Range.
Staying at the cabin and meeting Deborah and AJ was a wonderful experience. There are ample cooking supplies provided, the hut was very warm with the powered heater (despite cold temperatures the night we were staying), and the bed was spacious and comfortable. We loved Deborah's artwork/sculptures that can be found in and around the cabin. It is such a picturesque and relaxing place. Even better, there is a little-known entrance to the national forest trails nearby where we took a beautiful hike. AJ and Deborah will show you the way! The dogs are awesome too, and very friendly. I would recommend this cabin to anyone! The one downside was the fire ban, but that was totally out of Deborah's control.
Really great location and family extremely sweet and accommodating. There was a little noise in the morning from a crew doing forestry disease prevention down the road but I'm certain its extremely temporary. Would totally book again.
Deborah has built a small, quaint, charming 'tiny house' on her property. This is the quintessential definition of glamping -- head lamps required, no running water, and 'biffy' bag-like toilet. If you're good with roughing it a bit, this place is for you + one + one small dog.
You'll find big comfortable chairs to sit around a campfire. Clean bedding, kitchenwares, 3-burner propane stove (outside) and 5 gallons of water all provided. Deborah will even wash your dishes after each meal...now that's service!
You are close to Bailey, Grant, Guanella Pass, Pine Junction which provides easy access to other activities and restaurants. The easy access does come with 285 highway noise.
The wall heater struggles to get the place warm and we were there when it was above freezing. It you want a warm place to hunker down during cold nights, you may want to find another place.
Oh and if you feel like shopping, the cabin features Deborah's rustic artwork that is for sale.
We had a great time at the Artist's Cabin!
It’s out of the way like you are on your own but close enough to town to go get something if you need it. The drive to the cabin was a really cool back road that was fun. The whole set up of the camp great I thought.
