Looking for a little peace and quiet and a nice place a little more down to earth? Welcome to JuNo Farms. We're a small, working, certified naturally grown farm growing produce, berries, fruit and grapes and have a small flock of egg laying chickens and ducks. We love this area and all it has to offer and think you will too.  We're just outside of Hotchkiss surrounded by farms and orchards yet close enough to make a quick run to the store in a couple minutes if needed. Check us out on facebook at JuNo Farms!

We offer tent camping in 2 spots. Campsites are equipped with fire rings or grills and modern amenities a few steps away if desired. One closer to our house and amenities, by the grapes and fruit trees, under the giant Globe and Weeping willows. The other is your choice of further out in our fields and offers more privacy and the best views of the Grand Mesa, Mount Lamborn,  the North Fork Valley and unobstructed views of the night sky.

Our guests are welcome to use our covered patio area by the house. Featuring an outdoor kitchen to clean your fresh catch of the day, a gas grill to cook it up along with some local produce, and a seating area to hang out and enjoy a summer evening. Sit and relax while enjoying some of the many great local libations and converse with fellow guests. All guests are welcome to use our inside bathroom/shower.

We are pet friendly and have a couple farm dogs that have free run of our property. We have farm animals ourselves and in the immediate surroundings and lots of wildlife traverse our property, mostly deer. Seasonal produce will be available for our guests, from our farm or nearby farms/orchards, gratis or for a very reasonable charge.

This area is and has been the best kept secret in Colorado in our opinion. The Grand mesa is worth a trip in and of itself. Rural settings, rivers, lakes, mountains, desert (dobies), some of the best conditions for star gazing, snow sports, hunting, trails by foot and vehicle, the Black Canyon, the oldest petroglyphs in N. America, vineyards, cideries, restaurants, local festivals of all manner, organic/natural farms and orchards that produce some of the healthiest and best tasting foods around, all within less than an hours' drive in any direction. If you like the outdoors, overall mild weather and amazing food, we think this is as close to paradise as you'll find.

Unfortunately, we were not able to keep our reservations at JuNo Farms and cannot review the stay. We ran into major car trouble and had to divert to buy a new vehicle. I will say that Julia was very helpful and responsive to my many questions for months leading up to our trip. My family and I were really looking forward to staying on the farm and are truly saddened to have had to miss this leg of our trip. We hope to try again on our next trip through the area.

Julia was a helpful and generous host. We loved meeting Red and Odin too. The dogs had very good manners. We parked our van in their field and watched a beautiful midsummer nightfall. It was a great spot!

Everything about this is as described. We didn't get to meet Julia, but I spoke to her via email and phone - she's very responsive. Her husband, Noel, showed us around and made us feel right at home. 10/10 couldn't have asked for better camping accomodations.

Great hosts! Super friendly, informative. Really generous people, cool farm, sampled their food for us! High grasses wear long pants, and bring bug balm for mosquitos. Awesome friendly dogs too!

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at JuNo Farms! Julia and Noel were very hospitable and took the time to share their knowledge of organic gardening and preservation techniques. We look forward to returning to the area and staying at JuNo Farms again!

My wife and I had a fine experience at JuNo Farms! The hosts were as welcoming as could be and the property had an abundance of amenities above and beyond a traditional campground. Plus it's a reasonable drive to the Gunnison area, Black Canyon, and Paonia - one of Colorado's best kept secrets.

Some things to consider if you're looking to stay here:
-If you've ever spent time on a farm, you know you've got be an early riser. You can expect a rooster alarm clock between 4-6am and if that doesn't wake you, the doves and/or the ducks certainly will.
-Amenities like the shower/bathroom etc. are within the host's home which understandably stays locked at night or if they're away. That means take care of your business during daylight hours or make your own arrangements, otherwise you might be (literally) SOL.

Julia has a lovely property outside on Paonia. To make us feel welcome, she provided fresh veggies and fruit for our young family to nibble on. Lots of apples to pick kept the kids entertained.
