This place is heaven in Colorado -- amazing views, amazing and cozy hut, extremely comfortable backcountry experience, with amazing access to lakes and mountains nearby. The sunrises and stars are incredible from here.

In a word: magical. Stunning landscape with snow capped mountains, wildflower strewn streams and alpine lakes. The cabin is simple, self-sufficient and cozy with everything we needed. A wonderful stay.

Cleveland lake is less than a mile uphill and Holy Cross City less than a half mile downhill. Beautiful sunrise and sunset from your doorstep. El Refugio is a quaint escape with all the backpacking materials you'll need.
