Kelan was a gracious host, and he offered unique suggestions on hiking in the area. We took him up on his home-grown breakfast, which was excellent. We had a great experience, and wish him and Wavelength Farm the best.

Wavelength Farm - Garden site
Kelan was a wonderful host. My wife and I camped here for our first anniversary. It was private, but very safe and easy to access right off the Hwy 1. Kelan even provided us with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Communication was easy and minimal. We were more than happy to spend time without Dashi, a friendly and large farm pup. Highly recommend- would come back!

Wavelength Farm Cypress Grove Tipi
Full disclosure: After arrival, we decided not to stay as I misinterpreted the listing. There is no protective material on the bottom of this tipi, just (in some spots wet) dirt covered with hay. I did not expect that. At the time of booking, it only said bring your own bedding and I assumed tarp and some pading will be provided - I discussed this with Kelan and he assured me that he has already added more details about the lack of pads and pillows. The listing is much clearer now. He listened to my concerns, but also explained that his listing is clear. I wish he would add a photo from inside the tent to avoid future misinterpretation. The farm is sweet, and the location is great, but keep in mind this is not really a tipi, but a simple canvas tent with walls, open bottom and no flooring. And no fire is possible inside this tent.
Another concern: The outhouse next to the tent is just a hole in the ground, not very safe for the kids.

Kelan was so wonderful! We had a ton of private space, and Kelan helped us bring over some firewood and got us all set up. He has a gorgeous, super playful dog who joined for a little, and you could hear the ocean at night. If they're available to do it, see if you can swing breakfast: Kelan works closely with other farmers / bakers in the area, and we had such a lovely spread of coffee, fresh veggies, and incredible bread. Such a perfect stay!

Wavelength Farm - Garden site
The site is at the bottom of a terraced garden of vegetables and flowers. Kelan provided firewood, and there were vases of flowers decorating the site. It has a good fire pit. There's a rather small rickety picnic table, I'd recommend you bring an extra table if you have one. There is well water and a hose providing water right at the campsite.
There are two bathroom options: a very rustic outdoor composting toilet, and a bathroom in the house, directly accessible from the garden. As of September 2018 the bathroom just had a toilet, but it looked like work was in progress and there may be a shower and sink soon.
The farm was busy harvesting the weekend we were there, so they couldn't provide meals, however we bought a CSA box which was full of really great veggies.
We felt free to wander the farm to see what they were growing, and see the animals. The farm has cows, donkeys, sheep and chickens in the field next door. There's also an extremely friendly farm dog, Dashi.

Kelan & team are beautiful people; hospitable, friendly, industrious & fun. The teepee was great & very roomy for my family of six. Firewood was provided & came in handy on chilly nights & mornings. Beautiful farm lands & great location. The outdoor bathroom wasn’t private enough for me (my kids didn’t care) but Kelan said we could also use the “normal” toilet at the house. He also had a hot outdoor shower & sink to wash dishes & even pot/pans to borrow if needed. We recommend for sure!
