About Koti 2 Camp site Joshua Tree
NOTE: we are under construction at this camp site to build a structure similar to the Pensione. There is still plenty of space for two tents, and two cars only.
Pitch your tent at our private campsite with solar electricity! Enjoy the fire pit, table, forever views. Excellent cell reception, solar powered plug, potable water spigot, Shared bathroom with flush toilet and wash up sink. No showers at this site. Easy drive to Joshua Tree National Park and 3 minutes to JT village with local shopping, JT Saloon, Saturday Farmer's Market. There is another camp site on the grounds - see our listing for The Desert Pensione - on the opposite side of the property. We respond quickly to inquiries or questions.
PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT PROVIDE TENTS OR BEDDING - so bring your own tent, sleeping bags, air mattress, blankets, pillows, flashlights, etc. Make it your own cozy space. Please check weather and dress appropriately. WE NOW OFFER FIREWOOD FOR SALE! See our listing for "Firewood at the JT Bom". Please book it ahead of time, minimum 2 bundles. Firewood is also for sale at Vons and Stater Bros markets in Yucca Valley, or at Sam's Market and Mike's Liquor in Joshua Tree.
Campers MUST arrange to meet us in front of the JT Saloon at 61835 29 Palms Hwy (Hwy 62) and Park Bl. in Joshua Tree, and we will lead them to the camp site.
While dogs are allowed, we must know about it ahead of time, and be aware that there is another camp site on the other side of the main building that may be occupied, and may not like wandering pooches. Also note that the property is not fenced and the main highway is close by. Your dog must be well trained not to run off. Please pick up after your dog. Thank you!

The vibe at Koti 2 Camp site Joshua Tree
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
very simple cute private camping spot. i would definitely go back :) saved us big time booking it in advance, since there was not one camping spot available inside the park.
(very close to the park)
Cheryl & Jimbo are super nice, very easy to communicate with. everything went smooth, so... happy campers here!:)
Very cool setup, and when Jimbo finishes the full build (multiple sites), it's gonna be a very unique setup.
Really great option if you'd like to secure a spot to camp near Joshua Tree National Park (and not rely on first come first serve campsites in the park). The only drawback (other than not being inside the park) is that you can hear cars from highway 62.
Koti 2 is the perfect desert campsite. We stayed here while seeing a show at Pappy and Harriets (only about a 15 minute drive from the camp). It's in a great location, close to Joshua Tree National Park and Yucca Valley. The campsite itself is secluded from the other camps at the property and a short walk to the new bathroom. The new bathroom was very clean and had a flush toilet, sink, and a solar powered light for nighttime. There is a wall that provides some privacy from the highway in the distance along with a picnic table, solar powered light and charging station at this site. Thanks to Cheryl and Jimbo for hosting us!
Loved my stay at Koti Camp! The property is super close to all the great shops and restaurants in Joshua Tree and right off Twentynine Palms, but still far enough away that it feels remote. We stayed after a show at Pappy's in Pioneertown and it was a perfect trip.
The property's architecture is very unique and makes it a very special place. Jimbo and Cheryl were really great and made the whole experience easy.
Would definitely stay again next time I'm visiting the Joshua Tree / Yucca Valley area :)
The campsite is perfect. I loved the walls because it created some shade. The bathroom was amazing. It was just renovated in April. I think you share the bathroom but I never ran into people from the other camp site. The shower is under construction.
