I was hesitant to book this group site without seeing any reviews first, but the photos were beautiful and John; the host, was extremely helpful answering all my questions beforehand. We were a large group and some of us weren’t into tent camping, so the additional Small Cabin that was available on site for a separate fee was a perfect solution.

The site itself was lovely. The highlight was the large deck under the big oak tree that provided great shade (tolerable even in 100+ degree heat!) and picnic tables for eating, plus the outdoor kitchen with running water, stove, grill, etc. The tent sites were on the small side, but mostly flat and shaded. We loved spending time in the nearby creek and we were able to visit Lake Isabella and make store runs for necessities within 5-10 minutes of the site.

I would definitely recommend this site for groups. It was incredible to have the whole place to ourselves. We are already talking about when we can come back!

John has put a lot of work into this fantastic property. The site is very secluded and peaceful but the facilities John has created make for a comfortable experience for those looking for an easy camping experience. We will be back.

Spirit Walk was so special. Honestly, couldn't have asked for a better experience. The place was magical, with the solar path lights creating a beautiful ambience. The cooking and dining area was so well equipped. The creek was a magical little respite and we saw quail and deer. The bathroom was the best camping bathroom I've ever experienced, honestly better than many restaurant bathrooms. John and Deb were so kind and helpful. We'll definitely be back!

Wow what a beautiful weekend and a beautiful place. I came for an all girls birthday camping trip and it was everything I could have wanted and more. John was a gracious host and he has done a beautiful job with the space. It was peaceful and quiet and private. There was no creek but it didn’t even matter. It was such a special place without it I can’t even imagine what it’s like with the creek. Even in 100 degree heat there was plenty of shade to keep you cool. It was so close to everything we wanted to do. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy this space again.

Hi Lindsay, I'm so glad that you and your friends enjoyed your weekend. You're really going to love hangin' out in the creek when you come back! The creek is seasonal. It's dependent on rain and snow pack, so it's impossible to know in advance when and if it will flow or not. Although we have seen it run year round, it usually goes dry in the summer. I look forward to hosting you all again.
