Sky Ranch is a great place to visit and only an hour from the park! We Stayed several nights in the cabin and had a great time! The cabin overlooks the park which makes for great views and killer sunsets! It's very hot in the summer but the property has an amazing crystal cave and pool both great for cooling off and escaping the heat. In the two yurts you will find a fully equipped kitchen and living area. Bronwyn is a great host and took care of all of our needs. We also purchased some fresh eggs, raw goats milk and fruit - all of which were just delicious! The stars from the back porch of the cabin are amazing - the milky way was shining bright overhead! This is a great place to escape reality and extremely convenient to Yosemite! Thanks Bronwyn for a wonderful weekend! Hope to visit again soon :)
We had an awesome time at Sky Ranch. The ranch was only about an hour drive away from Yosemite Village. Bronwyn was super nice and accommodating and her two labs were fun to hang out with. The cabins were very comfortable, and there was plenty of sleeping space for the 7 of us. The pool was very refreshing after a full day in Yosemite, and the common area had all the cooking appliances we needed. Would definitely stay here again!
I would absolutely recommend staying at Sky Ranch! Bronwyn and her family were welcoming and accommodating. My son particularly loved all of the animals and would wake up early to help Bronwyn with the goats, chickens and bunnies before we hit the road to Yosemite. I loved sleeping on the platform under the stars! We are both looking forward to visiting again.
Sky Ranch was great! The property is just as the pictures show and even more amazing in-person. Bronwyn, CJ and their little boy Ashby are a great delight. We would definitely come back.
A little about the property:
The cabin gets sunlight in the AM and then cools down later in the day. The porch is wonderful to have, and we used it each night to stargaze and watch the meteor shower.
We just hung out all day on the property. We loved the cave and pool. It was so relaxing.
it was also great to have the yurt kitchen so we could have good meals each day.
Thank you to the Leslie fam!
Sky ranch is a very unique and beautiful property on a ridge close to Mariposa. Our cabin was comfortable and the kitchen yurt was fully equipped. We just missed a shower after a day of hiking Yosemite although the plunge pool helps. You also have to go through a little goat paddock/two locked gates to get to cabin or to kitchen/running water which is fun but can be tricky if you are carrying stuff. Very peaceful place.
Great spot for a weekend getaway. Our host was thoughtful and made us feel comfortable. The view from the cabin was amazing. So quiet you could hear a storm off in the distance. Just magic.
You should know that it's a small hike down a hill to get to the cabin. Nothing major, but could require the use of the house ATV to get any heavier items. Cute goats, rabbits and chickens nearby. They will be a part of the noises and smells you experience, but nothing bad.
Highly recommend, just know the details.
