This is one of 4 sites at Rudy Ranch. Our property wide, maximum capacity is 16 and all campers have access to the swimming pool, pool bathroom and shower during their stay.

CHECK IN IS ONLY ALLOWED BETWEEN 2:00 AND 7:00 PM because we are in a residential area we do not allow tent/camp set up to disrupt our neighbors' and other campers' evening. If you can't make it and have your tent set up by 8 PM, please book for the following day. If you are car or RV camping and rolling in late it's fine as long as you are considerate about turning off your headlights ASAP and not shining bright flashlights through the camp and into our neighbors windows. :)

If you're looking for an ADULTS ONLY, beautiful and quiet place to camp, rest, kick back and hear the birds and wind in the trees, you've found it!  While we do enjoy the energy of young children, we live in a very quiet neighborhood and have made the decision to exclusively host adult guests looking for a restful retreat. We have also decided that we will not make exceptions to this decision and invite those looking for a family experience to continue their search on the Hipcamp platform. There are many family friendly hosts excited to accept children of all ages!

This is a narrow, level spot between our home and the swimming pool; perfectly suited for RV's, but fine for tent camping as well. Includes pool, shower, bathroom, bbq and community wood fire pit is situated between two tent sites. There is firewood available at the self serve kiosk one block down from us on the corner of West Park and Debby and at the neighborhood grocery store.

COVID-19 - While we offer soap, hot water and disinfectant spray we trust that our campers are taking precautions to stay safe and will practice social distancing while staying with us. We do not have anything marked, as we trust that we all are aware of how far 6 feet apart is. ;)  We are not able to clean the bathroom at the swimming pool after each guest and ask each camper to clean up before and after themselves to ensure their own safety.  Sadly, someone has already stolen some of our supplies and we can't afford to keep giving away free things. We know that YOU would never do that....

Thanks for understanding!!!

This site is in the middle of the property where voices, music and car doors slamming really carries and can disturb others.  We ask that you are considerate to the other campers, our neighbors and us and keep the volume low. Please refrain from opening and slamming car doors and hatchbacks repeatedly. In other words, keep car doors open until all your stuff is out. ;) Yes, it's really necessary to say this, believe it or not....

Please let us know how many in your group smoke cigs when you request to book. This lets us know that you've read through this information and we can continue the acceptance process.

Join us and enjoy all that the Santa Cruz Mountains have to offer!

WOW! We had such a blast at this site! Even during these COVID times my friends and I felt completely safe at this site! It’s so close to town, beautiful hikes, and lovely Capitola! I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days- we were visiting from San Francisco and it was the perfect escape for us :) I would love to stay again next month!

What more can one ask for? Wonderful hosts, beautiful site with a fire pit, a pool, a BBQ grill, a cute tiki bar, just a few steps from downtown which has a few great grocery stores, cafes, restaurants.
But really, the hosts are the sweetest. They were so welcoming and helpful. We had a great time and will for sure be back!

We loved the proximity to town, the pool and its little cabana and how easy it was to make it there for a weekend getaway from San Francisco.

Overall, we had fun. Location was great, very close to Big Basin. Directions, instructions, and communication with host was great. However the campsite needs a little more upkeep. The bathroom and the pool area could be cleaner. There was a rather loud and continuous noise that we assumed was coming from the pool. It was very noticeable because the property gets very quiet in the evening and in the morning. We slept inside our van so the sound didn't bother us as we slept, but if you're sleeping in a tent I think the sound would be very noticeable. The wooden chairs by the fire pit were comfortable to sit on, but we discovered after sitting on them for a while that our pants had splinters all over that were poking us. Portable water was not clearly labeled. Unfortunately, there were more cons than pros for us regarding this property.

Great location - in the woods but close to town and to other attractions like Big Basin and Santa Cruz. Loved the area, star gazing and relaxing by the pool. Friendly host and great site all around!

I can't express enough how amazing, kind, accommodating, and generous (for sharing their property) Gordon and his fiance are. Not only is their land beautiful, peaceful, and tranquil....their property is central to the town of Boulder Creek making it super convenient to have food and beverages when you're too lazy to cook. Literally, an 8 minute walk to their wonderful Italian restaurant, Scopazzi's, that has great food, outdoor dining, and a full bar. He is the neighborhood guy who saved, not only their property, but their neighbors' as well (with a local team), when resources were limited during the CZU fires. They have a variety of folks that can stay at one time to utilize their quaintly decorated teepee, pitch a tent on the field, 3 RV parking spots, plus pool with bathroom and shower. There's hiking in back, which was a bit surreal to see how close the fire got to their proprty (like 50 yards or something....). It was literally a breathe of fresh air. I'm new to this RVing thing. And this was my first spot to try out on this site. And am thrilled I was able to have this experience. Tip for RV noobies....don't take Bear Creek Road, take highway 17 down, then cross over to Felton (via Mt Hamilton road I believe), then up highway 9.
