This is a multi-tent campsite which will support 2 to 3 tents and a level area to park your vehicle.
Pitch you tent or tents (this site has enough room for 2 or 3 tents) under the big oak tree. Cook your meals in our communal outdoor kitchen equipped with sink (cold water only), plenty of counter space, propane stove, earth oven and our fire-brick table. Picnic tables and fire pit in immediate area. Just relax and enjoy nature, you might get to see a quail family or a flock of wild turkeys. Maybe you would like to take a short trip to historic Mariposa (only 7 miles) or Yosemite Valley (31 miles). Return to camp in the evening and enjoy a hot shower before retiring for the night, or do some star gazing as we are far away from any city lights.
At Sanctuary of the Oaks we currently have 11 campsites. Sites #2 through #7, and #10 are tent sites. Sites #1 and #8 are group sites that can accommodate two or three tents. Site # 9 is a 12 ft x 14 ft wall tent set up on a wooden floor platform. And the RV1 site can accommodate up to a 20 ft RV, no hook ups. It is possible to park your vehicle in front of, or next to all of the sites. However most of the parking spots are small and not level. So if you are planning to sleep in your vehicle, we would recommend that you book either the RV1 site, or book one of the other sites and park in the ‘extra parking’ area next to the ‘round house.’

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We had a great stay! The hosts came down and met us and even gave us some pointers when going into Yosemite. The camp was clean and kept up nice. They had running water and a nice community kitchen area for everybody to use. I would recommend.
It was a easy to find nice place. The showers were great! The site was a little smaller than I expected but we made it work. The one thing I would improve were the bathrooms. They were very clean but smelled very bad. I think more sawdust was needed. It maybe more that guest are not aware of how much cover is needed in a compost toilet.
