Mellow community vibes, kayaks, stargazing, outdoor kitchen, Saturday bonfire nights, and more for wilderness nature and bug-loving mountain going adventure seekers keen to discover the Eastern Sierra.

Please note: September 9th: Mono County issued a temporary urgency

ordinance prohibiting open fires (campfires, bonfires, fire pits) on private properties, such as our camp, in light of high fire danger around CA. The propane and charcoal BBQs are still allowed. The Sierra Camper comes with its private charcoal bbq as well as complimentary charcoal.

PLEASE NOTE: 2-night minimum before Oct 1st, 3-nights thereafter, thank you for your consideration.

***COVID-19 INFO***

Warm greetings to you from our piece of paradise! Spring is here, flowers are out, birds are chirping and we have been working hard to ensure our camp is ready for the 2020 season. This is a new reality we are all getting used to, please be kind and mindful while at the camp and adventuring in the area, respecting other’s space and maintaining the safe six-foot distance. We are unsure what official COVID-19 guidelines may be at the time of your visit but we will just mirror them. Things have, and still may change daily. Please be flexible, we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

We understand the concerns around the virus and would like to share with you the steps we are taking to ensure a safe, relaxing environment for all our guests and staff:

  • All restrooms are cleaned several times a day and all surfaces are disinfected. Please note, to ensure that social distancing guidelines are followed, our restrooms are closed to guests staying in their own RVs or our rental campers. Our public restrooms are only available to guests staying at tent sites, in vans/small trailers without a bathroom, and in the Sierra Stream rental trailer.
  • Hand soaps, sanitizers, and disinfectants are available in all common areas for regular use.
  • The use of some of our amenities (such as laundry) will be limited or not available.
  • Some normally provided items that cannot be wiped down (such as aluminium foil) will be removed.
  • Our office has been temporarily relocated outside.
  • No need to check-in in person. Your welcome information, any latest updates, and check-in details will be emailed to you about a week prior to the arrival.
  • As per May 1st order, the use of facial coverings while in public in Mono County and interacting with people outside of your household is required, in effect through the end of the COVID-19 pandemic emergency declaration. Please come prepared. We will ask you to wear masks/face coverings when walking around the camp but not when at your site.
  • Consider getting all your supplies before coming to our community.

Now more than ever it is important to spend time connecting in the great outdoors. We look forward to reopening soon, and we’ll be ready to share campfires, starry nights, and our serene area with you when we do. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. It is a place where social distancing happens naturally. This is a great opportunity to be together in Nature and not to be isolated in our homes. Together (from a safe distance) we will remain healthy, positive, and strong!

Please read through the entire listing to find out more about Sierra Camper and our camp. Can't wait to hear from you and to be part of your Sierra explorations :-)

The Sierra Camper sleeps five comfortably. With queen size bed, two bunk beds, a play area that can be turn into king size bed and pull out couch, there is plenty room for everyone. The private bathroom is large and has a separate outdoor entrance. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster are all provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, cookware, glasses, cups, plates, paper towels, soap, and all the typical kitchenware. Bed sheets, towels, blankets, and dish towels are ready for your use. The trailer also has a flat screen TV with DVD player, internet, cooling system, and an outside area with outdoor furniture. We also provide one-use supply of charcoal briquettes, to get you set up for your grilling, and you can buy locally grown firewood at our office. So, all you really need to bring is some clothing and food. Pretty much everything else is covered. And if there is anything else that you need, we have a store on premises that carries most convenience items.

The rate includes space rent, propane, wifi, one parking spot as well as 12% Mono County occupancy tax (TOT). We can also accommodate an extra car, if needed, in our overflow parking. Please message us prior to booking with dates you're hoping to stay with us, so we can enable the "Extra Vehicle Fee" option for you.

We're a husband and wife team and this is our adopted home - a small RV Park & Campground located directly on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir. We believe in campfires, starry nights, good laughs, exploration, a deep sleep and an early rise. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. So turn off your phone and turn on your senses. When you arrive, we won’t hand you a list of rules but we may ask you to join us for a campfire, remind you to conserve water, and to separate your trash so we can recycle it. That’s about it, oh yeah: relax, it’s your vacation.

It’s important to us that our guests don’t feel they are renting a camping site as much as they’re immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to lay in one of our hammocks and read for three days. For the more adventurous, we offer a full slate of self-guided recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards and so much more. Do you enjoy bird watching? There are hundreds of different species right here at Paradise Shores, which is located on a major bird migration route.

Please note that the reservoir is low this summer (water level changes based on the winter snowpack and lowers during the summer months) and swimming isn't currently available. We recommend the nearby Twin Lakes just off Bridgeport if you would like to swim. We still get awesome sunsets and sunrises over the Sawtooth Ridge though!

We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guest to “unplug” and immerse in the slow pace life instead. If you come to stay with us at the weekend, you'll be welcome to join us around the campfire and connect with fellow campers (we have fires on most Saturdays, s'mores are on us!)

Did we mention that we love dogs? We may be able to accommodate your dog in this camper if you can ensure that it stays off the furniture (beds, sofas etc.) and are able to control the hair trace/shedding (if any). We ask that guests keep dogs on leash when at the camp and pick up after them. We love dogs, but sadly won’t be able to accommodate heavily shedding pets that aren’t house trained. We like being dog friendly and try to maintain being able to offer that to our guests, we appreciate your help. Thank you in advance for your consideration. Please message us with your pup's breed and the dates you're hoping to stay with us prior to requesting the booking. With dog wash and off-leash dog beach, your adventure pup will be a happy camper here! Please note that the dog beach can be quite limited when the water level in the reservoir is high. On the upside, the lake looks absolutely gorgeous then!

We hope Paradise Shores becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. We’re surrounded on three sides by the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono Lake, June Lake, Virginia Lakes, Twin Lakes, and the historic gold-mining town of Bodie are all within a short drive from here.

Please note, our minimum stay requirements in the Sierra camper varies through the season, based on remaining available dates and our enhanced cleaning schedule. We typically ask for 5 nights minimum stay throughout the season and over the 4th of July weekend (and won't have arrivals or departures on July 3rd & 4th), but may accept 3-4 nights+ requests - please message us with dates prior to requesting the booking.

Occasionally, we relax the minimum at short notice (within a week or so prior to the date) and based on availability, please ask.

We had a wonderful stay at Paradise Shores. My kids have been dying to stay in a camper and they were not disappointed. Alan and Veronika were so kind and accommodating. They really care about special touches and ensuring everyone is comfortable. You see it in the beautiful gardens across the RV Park, the hang out spots and the community bathrooms. The spot could not be more beautiful. We loved kayaking, paddle boating, swimming in the lake, and watching the gorgeous sunset. Bridgeport is a great spot to explore the Sierras. I want to go back!

We LOVED our stay. It was my first “glamping” experience in an RV and it was super fun. It had all the basics so I brought my own food and charcoal. My son had a ton of fun swimming and playing down at the water. There is an amazing view of the snow capped sierras and and it is truly peaceful. The RV has a cozy deck with bbq and fire ring. There was a lot of children who all played together and had a blast. We ventured out to different lakes and the hot springs. There are many adventures within a short drive and if you need anything the town is 5 minutes away. Be prepared for mosquitos and mayflies as the location is near standing water. It is very hot in summer and there is no shade by the beach so bring an umbrella and use sunscreen. I stayed in Sierra camper and was having to kill wasps inside my RV daily. I’m not sure how they were getting in.... but I plugged up every opening to the outside I could find and they still got in. The RV was super nice, complete kitchen and AC! We were cool and comfy. I 100% recommend staying at paradise shores. It’s truly a gem.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Paradise Shores. Paradise Shores was conveniently situated for us to explore the Eastern Sierras for the first time: the area has a unique feeling of the frontier, from the rugged, panoramic vistas to its central history in the gold rush. The old town of Bodie was fascinating.

The Sierra Camper was cozy in the evenings, and a welcome respite from the heat during the days. Thoughtfully designed, and the bunk beds were a big hit with the two kids. We loved the stones-throw distance from the water, and the memorable sunsets against the mountain backdrop. Also, it's a 5 minute drive from the cute town of Bridgeport for picking up groceries and restaurants for take-out. We liked the Bridgeport Inn and the Burger/Mexican joints.

Veronika and Alan were gracious, organized hosts, and went above and beyond for us -- We appreciated that they were discrete, but also very responsive. I felt they were taking all the precautions to keep the community safe during COVID times.
