Hello anyone there
When i got there no one was in the office and we never got a map. We went to our campsite and all the grass was overgrown. Then when we went to the pool it was dirty. No one seemed to be there. When we went to the mini golf course the gate was broken the building there had a broken window and it looked abandoned. I was scared because it seemed to have been taken care of there were signs about COVID-19 and masks but no one was there at all.
Great place to car camp with kids!
What a wonderful discovery this place is. My wife and I took our 8-year old son and 4-year daughter to Mandala Springs for Memorial Day Weekend. Even though the weather turned out to include chilly rain for much of the time, everyone still had a great time because, when it was raining, we simply shifted gears to spend quality time in their beautiful yoga studio, where we enjoyed a cozy fire, and board games, musical chairs. We even cranked up the music to create an impromptu dance class/party. Not only that, Jerry and his wife created a wonderful, welcoming vibe by offering a delicious vegan chocolate cake, along with coffee and tea. When the weather was good, our kids LOVED going out on the paddle boats (and visiting Skull Island), playing on the playground, playing miniature golf, playing by the stream, building a campfire, and -- in a stroke of luck -- catching a frog and baby snake. How great to have such a family-friendly place to camp, with such nice, modern amenities (including a VERY nice swimming pool with brand-new looking lounge chairs, hot showers, bathrooms with fancy, high-end soap, etc). All of this surrounded by beautiful hills, tall trees, and, in many places, the sound and sights of the flowing stream. Hiking trails that depart right from the campground. And nice, small grocery store and family-friendly Italian restaurant located a short 5-minute drive away. All of the staff members and other campers whom we met were great. Mandala Springs is a gift to everyone in Northern California who likes to 'car camp' with kids.
Amazing soulful spot. We loved out 4 day, 3-night stay. Mandala Spring was quiet, beautiful, and rejuvenating. We were concerned that it might be too focused on spirituality. It wasn't -- the lack of focus on alcohol and meat draws a lovely crowd of families and people visiting for a wonderful retreat from the madness of urban life. The pool, the pond, and the river were magical!
Peaceful, perfect retreat!
This place is idyllic! We swam, sat by the bonfire, played mini golf, enjoyed the creek that surrounds the property and had an overall amazing time! We will be back.
Great excuse to come out to the lake county to this very family friendly campsite with a playground, bikes, little creek with paddle boats, pool (unheated), a communal campfire (not really designed for bbq grill), immaculate toilet/hot shower trailer and even a commercial kitchen trailer and pizza oven. The kids had a great time and it is a sweet little spot to enjoy being outside for a day or two (nearby Harbin Hotsprings is a new age destination with lots of relaxation and nudity)! It was very cold, windy and wet through the night so the adults were sleep deprived, kids were freezing and we all dashed right out all the way to Middletown at 6.30am for breakfast, we clearly needed better tents... but weather aside I would recommend this campsite (I'd try the cabins next time) for young families. Thanks Jerry for your hospitality!
Amazing property with lots to do
The properties was great. There’s a group fire pit. I got to play some mini-golf, rode bikes around the property, sat in a paddle boat, took a swim in the pool and saw some deer! The bathroom and showers were new and clean. Some of the highlights:
Quite and off the radar
I camped in my Westfaila — simple camping sites with power and water, warm showers and a nice cold swimming pool. Staff is great, welcoming and helpful.
Great last minute find.
We just had a lovely weekend camping here. The park is gorgeous and we were the only campers. My girls had lots of fun exploring, using the carts, dip toes in the gorgeous swimming pool, watching deer and we all played a round of mini golf. There is some road noise which meant it wasn't as quiet we expected but still really nice and gorgeous place!
