We are presently offering several different listings on Hipcamp to meet your needs and budget. The Meadow was our first site at Camp HOME and is located next to the water station and the porta-potty, but please take a look at the rest of our sites by clicking “Healing Our Mined Ecology” up above and you can see everything available. Each of the three sites is suitable for two large tents or three small ones. If you are needing more space please consider renting one multiple sites within the meadow to for a group campground experience or seeing if one of our other sites might be a better fit.

Welcome to the Summer of Social Distancing at Camp HOME. With the pandemic having canceled all our favorite summer festivities, we decided to bring the summer magic HOME with a family-friendly campground with a festi vibe. We're looking to collaborate with our campers and community to offer yoga, music jams, socially-distant dance parties, workshops, field trips and more

We’re only three miles from downtown Nevada City, one of the most amazing small town in California, and three miles from Scott’s Flat lake. The Yuba river is a 20-minute drive, and there is a small stream that runs through the property.

Despite the pandemic, we believe that it’s still possible to create community and have fun by practicing harm reduction techniques, including gathering outdoors, maintaining adequate distancing, and frequent sanitizing.

While all of our campers and larger community are invited to participate in our daily programming, it is not inclusive of our camping rates and an additional donation will be requested.

HOME, or Healing Our Mined Ecology, is a year-old community on 11 beautiful forested acres outside of Nevada City and founded on the principles of permaculture.

"Come with everything,

Leave with everything,

Live for everything"

Josh, the host, was so nice and helpful! Anything we needed he was there to try and accommodate. This spot was very simple, the property is still a bit of a work in progress. He did tell us of his plans to update it- grow some grass in the dirt patches, setup tables and fire pits for the camping spots. If you’re looking for a simple spot to pitch a tent and access to running water and a bathroom, I think this place is great for the price

Space is beautiful and has a ton of potential for what the host is hoping to achieve. It was conveniently located near town.

Josh was very friendly and showed us around to give us options for a campsite. The site was secluded and peaceful next to the stream. Lots of potential on the land and looking forward to its transformation!

Josh was a great host. At the campsite, you will have water and a portable toilet, which was fine :) 5 out of 5!

Staying at Josh's place was just what I was hoping for. Peaceful, a canal walk running through the property to walk along for miles, a beautiful lake nearby, just a few minutes from town and more amazing hikes and swimming holes to explore. My dog loved it too. Thank you!
