Gorgeous brand new 16'  bell tent on elevated platform surrounded by trees. Find yourself chilling by the pool or taking a nice hot shower after a hike at the lake. This is glamping at it's finest. Fan, light, space heater & essential oil diffuser inside tent. Outdoor bathroom with hot shower and flush toilet. Grill a delicious meal on the gas BBQ. Put your drinks int he full size fridge outside.  Room to spread out and chill... lounge on the floor pillows while working or watching a movie with high speed wifi.

We are located on the border of El Cajon and Lakeside in San Diego (about 20 miles east of Downtown) with easy access to the 8 freeway.  We are just beginning to live our longtime dream of sharing our land and space with travelers, tourists, artists and friends.  We have a 2.5 acre property and the tent is tucked away down at the pool, separated from the main house.  The pool is shared with our small family and the Airbnb at poolside apartment, so you may meet some new people while glamping at our place.

We have been working to make this a special place for travelers to come and chill at the pool, relax in one of the seating areas or explore the eucalyptus forest and just have a great time while visiting San Diego.  Take a drive to the wineries in Ramona, or to the quaint town of Julian or Alpine, lot's of things to do that aren't common touristy things nearby.

There are lots of birds, including hawks, and eucalyptus grove on our property that you are welcome to explore.  We have organic herb and veggie gardens that we’d love to share with you.  Our gorgeous 16'  bell tent has a queen size super comfy real bed and a twin size pull out futon and is steps from the pool and very private. It sleeps 3 comfortably, if you have kids maybe 4.  If all adults, you'll need to bring an air mattress for an extra person.  The bell tent is situated on an elevated platform under a peaceful canopy of Chinese Elm trees.  The trees have lot's of bird families, so that means your new alarm clock is a bird :)  There is a fan, space heater and a light as well as a power strip to charge your devices as well as an essential oil diffuser and soothing sound machine.  There is a little noise from the 8 freeway in the distance and the occasional dog barking from the neighbors, but the sound machine works nicely to help minimize the external noises if there are any.  There are motion solar lights around the bathroom and walkways.  We will supply extra blankets if needed.  There is an outdoor bathroom steps away with a hot shower, sink with mirror and regular flush toilet.  There is a gas BBQ to cook on (please bring items you normally would when camping such as paper plates, pool towels, etc.  There is not a sink to wash dishes, so it is more of a camping environment) and a full size fridge to put your drinks and food in.

We are in the process of making our land unique and magical, which means we are always working on one thing or another around the property…it's truly a work in progress at our place here.  Our vision is to transform the landscape into a complete sanctuary retreat, and it’s coming along quite nicely.  We are excited to share it with our guests and will be available during your whole stay if you need anything at all.  We are just a text away.

Nearby activities include Lake Jennings, which offers fishing and hiking, as well as several gorgeous parks to visit.  Our glamp is great for a weekend destination or just for a rest on your way to another adventure.  The pool is not fully fenced, so we only allow kids who can swim.  Although we love pets (we have a few dogs on the property), we cannot accept guests with pets at this time.  Parking is in our driveway, which is very safe and close to the pool area.  Just text us when you get here and we'll make sure to show you around.

If you're looking for a warm getaway close to San Diego, look no further. The property's pool is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun, and the tent and bed provided for sleeping are more than comfortable. The site also offers an amazing outdoor bathroom. The hosts are extremely welcoming, and will happily provide you with all of the best nearby restaurants and go-to spots. The property is a blast to explore, and has all sorts of interesting things to see. I would recommend arriving while it's still warm out to enjoy the pool, then having a calm evening on the pool deck and grilling dinner on the barbecue.

When we drove through the neighborhood to get to the camp area, we were a little deterred because it looks like you are in a cookie cutter neighborhood. Once we arrived, the hosts were so sweet and showed us the place. Everything was absolutely perfect and just as pictured. We spent the day at Lake Jennings and then arrived at camp in the afternoon to bbq and spend some time at the pool. The bed is super comfy too! Would definitely stay here again!

Wish I could have stayed longer. Heather's place is heavenly, and the tent and private, outdoor bathroom were gorgeous, really exceeded my expectations. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a quirky getaway at the edge of SD.

The hosts were very nice and welcoming and showed us the place upon our arrival. The tent was cute and the beds were comfortable. Outdoor bathroom/shower was great. We especially enjoyed the pool after a long hike at Lake Jennings. I hope we can come back again. It was a nice, relaxing getaway from home.

I spent four days with my two boys there looking some time alone with them without their friends. This was more than perfect for that. It’s a whole different way of camping/glamping! Full-size refrigerator, and a gas grill! We played in the pool all day, and got a chance to interact with Heather, Robert and Manica in the evenings having water fights! The bed is so comfy, the tent is beautiful, and the outdoor shower/bathroom is perfect. I wouldn’t have known there was no hot water if they hadn’t told me. They also have solar lights placed in all the right places around the property with motion sensors that made me feel safe walking around at night !
I definitely recommend taking them up on their vegetable garden. I’ve never had tomatoes that yummy .
I am looking forward to going back soon, so please don’t be my competition on booking it, LOL

My family had the most wonderful time camping in this spot for 3 nights. We arrived to a beautiful well decorated yurt tent. The site is very well set up and our hosts Heather and Robert were fantastic! It was very convenient for us to go to beaches around San Diego area during day time and come back to our campsite in the afternoon and cool off in the swimming pool. We loved it so much! I highly recommend this spot. We will definitely be back when we get to San Diego area.

Heather was a great host and very attentive to our needs. The space was fun and had what we needed for our surf vacation. The tent was nicely set up with a comfy queen bed, chair, end table and a lamp. There were a few ants around the tent which is to be expected while camping, but when they got inside it was difficult to relax.
The pool was amazing, clean and the perfect temperature! The outdoor bathroom was unique and we enjoyed it. The cold water shower was sufficient for our needs. Warm water will be a nice upgrade when it happens. Overall a great time at the place which we enjoyed very much!

This was a total gem! The bed was comfortable, the outdoor showers were so relaxing, and the pool was perfect on a hot California morning! Heather and her husband were accommodating but gave us plenty of privacy. Loved this place and wish we could’ve stayed longer!
