We are nestled down a quiet road in the heart of the King Valley wine region of northeast Victoria. We run a lifestyle property with some mischievous goats, Scottish Highland cattle, horses, chooks & 3 crazy dogs. Our local area is jam-packed with loads to do. Wineries a plenty, great food, & great pubs. You can spend your days relaxing & enjoying the fruits someone else's labour. If you are after something more energetic; we are close to some of Victoria's best 4wding. You can test your limits or simply go searching for our iconic high country huts. During the winter, you can day trip to the snowfields. If this is not your scene you can simply enjoy the lights of Mt Buller ski resort as you sit around your campfire at night. Our area is steeped in Ned Kelly history, where you can retrace his footsteps throughout the district. Dog friendly, campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place & firewood included. Mill site 2
A very peaceful and secluded camp situated with plenty of space between campers. On-site toilets, fire pit and supplied firewood tick all the boxes!

The camp site itself was great, beautiful views and flat ground. We couldn’t reach the host for some questions we had and issues with the toilet. Definitely a disappointment since we specifically chose a spot for the bathroom. Overall good but can be improved

Mill site 1
Not worth it
Never coming back. Big disappointment. No maintenance on the entrance dirt road, could have been bad for low car. No check in, welcome at arrival whatsoever. Mill site 1 doesn’t really have any view. Site 1 and site 2 supposed to have one toilet but it was LOCKED. The other toilet further away was not working properly when we first arrived. We met the owner who came to fix who was absolutely unfriendly, rude and unhelpful. Literally no welcoming attitude, make us feel like they don’t care whatever even though we were extremely respectful. The site is somewhat maintained but there were dog sh*t really close to our fireplace and around. We almost stumble over it a few times. One thing no one talked about is how loud the noise coming from the car running on the entrance road. Positive things about the camp is great sun rise, many highland cows to watch. But since site 1 and 2 are really close to them, you can hear them roar very close at night. I chose this camp based on the terrific reviews but now I wonder if all negative reviews have been deleted?

This was our first camping trip, and it was mostly great. The area is absolutely beautiful. Our young daughter enjoyed looking at the cows. The land seems well cared for. We had a few issues. There wasn’t any firewood at our campsite—thankfully, neighbouring campers allowed us to take some of theirs. Only one of the two toilets was functioning—and that functional one ran out of water for a few hours, making it non-functional. It also ran out of toilet paper. Finally, one of our messages—saying hello, asking if it was okay to take firewood from neighbouring sites, the toilet issue—were replied to. All up, we had a lovely time. But considering the positive reviews, and reasonable nightly price, I was surprised at the issues.

Absolutely stunning location. Firewood and great fire rings supplied. Toilets were very welcome. What else do you need? We really enjoyed our week long stay and used this as a great base to explore the area. With 3 older teenagers, a 7 year old and a dog, this ticked many boxes for us. Being able to take a dog, have a fire and not be overcrowded was very welcome. Thank you
