Pea Patch Ranch

Caddo Gap, Montgomery, Arkansas
Hosted by Bridget C.
The Pea Patch Ranch has been our family farm since 1970. The southern boundary backs up against the Ouachita National Forest with wilderness as far as you'd care to hike. The Pea Patch is also home to one of the most endangered species of dragonfly, the Ouachita Spiketail. If you're lucky you may see one in the first 2 weeks June. There are also Caddo Indian burial grounds that were excavated by Henderson University in 1973. The architecture of the village was unlike any found before so we have the privilege of having the site named after my father. The Standridge site. We offer secluded riverside camping on the Caddo River. There are outfitters within a few miles for kayaking and floating. Or you can hike our trails on 200 acres and pick a spot on top of a mountain or in a deep valley beside 4 different spring fed creeks that start on our property..
