Pond Meadow
before we can provide a recommendation.

The Lower Meadow is a large area in the middle of the property and is also where the pond is located. There is sufficient amount of level camping area but much of it is part of the gentle sloping hill. It is great for tent camping and dry camping in vehicle or small RV. The Lower Meadow is a large area in the middle of the property and is also where the pond is located. There is sufficient amount of level camping area but much of it is part of the gentle sloping hill. It is great for tent camping and dry camping in vehicle or small RV. Vehicles larger than a standard car or truck should be aware of weather conditions and chances of saturated ground within the meadow. Standard vehicles will be able to remain on the hard packed dirt and rock road, but larger vehicles will need to drive into the meadow to turn around. Feel free to message me for current status and rain forecast.
This meadow has a few trees scattered about that help provide shade and privacy, but the openness makes it a wonderful place to view the moon and stars, or watch clouds and birds during the day. The pond is located at a bottom corner of the meadow and it's water level varies by season, Spring is the rainy season here and by the time Autumn arrives, the pond is kind of low. Photos of this listing and the pond were taken October 2019.
Whether you frequently visit this area or are just passing through, I hope that you will consider this your "cabin" on the lake and return whenever you like. It's a great place to set up a base camp and explore the many attractions this area has to offer, or just hang out and saunter down to the lake. Once you become familiar with the property, it'll be your own little place at lake Greeson. Just bring your own "cabin".
The potential downside is noise. This site is about 500 feet from the road and about 400 feet from my house. There are a lot of trees to help reduce road noise, as well as a few structures like my house and a non-operational small motel. Good news is road traffic practically disappears at night. Weekend morning traffic is extremely light but weekday traffic starts about 6 a.m.. It's a small highway that isn't congested, but it is a highway. Keep in mind my description is the open-air experience at the site, not inside a trailer or whatever rig you have.Additionally, at 9:30 a.m. you will likely hear my 3 roosters crow a time or two, but they rarely crow throughout the day. When I have guests, I put the roosters into a special room at night and will wait awhile before I let them begin their free-ranging day . They are a very shy flock of 3 roosters and 12 hens and remain by the house throughout the day.
Other random noises can be expected, such as a dog or two barking in the distance, a boat motoring along the lake, and of course wildlife noises such as crow, owl, fox, and hawk. Most of the homes in this area are rarely visited cabins and none are visible from the property. But close proximity to the lake, the highway, and the pond attracts abundant critter life and a handful of lake enthusiasts, so there is always something making noise. Some noises are the ones nature lovers enjoy, like tree frogs and birds, but some are the ones you might be trying to escape from. It just depends on what you are used to and even the purpose of your stay. If you walk downhill to the forest trails, the dense buffer of trees and terrain nearly eliminates all human-related noises.
