Best Hipcamp in Arizona according to Outside Magazine!

100 square food A-Frame transforming cabin on 10 wooded acres.  We are taking COVID19 precautions, disinfecting multiple times daily and you should not come into close contact with other guests.  Perfect for couples, this cabin is fully off grid but has everything you need. Bathroom (composting toilet style) and outdoor solar shower near the tent.  Short drive from the town of Williams; 45 miles to Grand Canyon.  Enjoy the peaceful landscape, the mountain air, and beautiful night sky!

The cabin has 2 single beds which roll together to form a queen.  It does get chilly at night, even in the summer, but we provide lots of sheets and blankets, plus a heater available for rent if you need it! If you aren't used to mountain weather, consider bringing more extra blankets or a sleeping bag.

There are lights and USB plugs in the cabin.

You'll have Wifi from a our dish which usually works in the summer season. From late October into winter Wifi is not available.  Since we're out a ways from town, T-Mobile/Metro PCS is the only reliable cell network. AT&T does get a weak signal usually good for calls, same with Verizon.

The area is on 10 acres of wild land.  There are 3 other yurts, the cabin,  and our van home on the property  They are spread out so you'll have privacy.  Check with us before having a campfire to make sure wind and weather conditions are favorable.

Our entire setup is done in a way to be as sustainable as possible.  Most items are built from up-cycled wood and we tried to limit the use of concrete and plastics.  The goal is for you to feel like you are comfortably part of the natural environment.  Please respect the land and it will take care of you!  We respectfully ask that you try your best not to use single-use plastic during your stay with us.  We really need to change our habits in order to save the earth!  We have reusable metal water bottles for sale if you need them.

Our toilet is a dry and composting toilet.  It doesn't smell and also doesn't use any of our valuable water.  We are happy to discuss with any and everyone the necessity of changing our habits if we are to create a better more sustainable world.

Our shower is outdoors and a really amazing experience.  In spring and summer, we have an on demand hot water shower that allows you to shower in nature.  After November 1st the on demand hot shower is unavailable as it would freeze and break during the night.  In this time you can add hot water into the solar bags to still get a shower.  We are also in a very dry region, so we encourage less usage of water in general.

We provide drinking water, local information, and a Grand Canyon park pass to save you $35!  There are decent restaurants in town and Zach is a trained chef specializing in creative plant-based cuisine.

This is a place to chill out in nature, not a party place.  We don't mind if you have a few drinks, but no loud music ever, or loud voices during quiet hours (9pm-8am). Be respectful to the fact that we are on a hill and sound carries easily, and we often have multiple groups staying at once.

Heat is provided in the cabin as nights can be quite cold after November 1st (and even sometimes in October).  The day times are still quite nice though, usually.  There is always a possibility of snow storms though and if this happens our cabin can become inaccessible.  We reserve the right to cancel your reservation if we deem it unsafe for habitation in the cooler months.

From November onwards into winter the cabin may operate using a self check-in process and the price will be reduced to reflect this.  We will provide a video of how everything works.  You will also be the only guests on the property during this time as our glamping yurts will be closed for winter.

The A-Frame was sooooo special. We kept the big side open the whole night and it was like sleeping under the stars. The beds were super comfortable And there was enough space for our stuff. It didn’t feel tiny. The rest of the camp is also great. The outdoor showers are wonderful. Zach and Carrie are the best hosts. Very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable about the area. Hope to be back some day soon!

I loved my four nights in the A-frame cabin. The spot is perfectly located to do all sorts of adventure activities. I did the grand canyon, a trail near Humphrey's Peak, a stop thru Flagstaff, and a stop at lake all in the same day. Coming back to Zach & Carrie's was great: I would take an outdoor shower, sit on the deck, eat some camp food, watch the sunset, snuggle up with a book on the very comfortable mattress. My dog loved all the smells and hiding under the deck. It was easy to social distance, even at open air yoga. Great place to camp. I felt safe and secure as a solo female camper.

Beautiful site-there could be at least 6 other guests at sites nearby. The evening is amazing-bring extra bedfing if you get cold easily. The sun comes up pretty early and it can get very hot without any shade, so be prepared. But it’s really an amazing camp and Zach and Carrie are both awesone!!!

This is such a cool concept and wonderful place. The stars are unreal and the A-frame is super cute and well done. Zach’s breakfast was on point! Strong coffee and a healthy delicious breakfast. We appreciated the disinfectant in the composting toilet and it felt like a safe option for traveling in these times.

A wonderful place to stay! This cute cabin was the perfect escape from the city. We loved being able to watch the stars and sunrise right from bed. The property is well maintained, safe, and thoughtfully planned. The cabin is a quick walk up a gradual incline, but it’s easy with the nice paths and the privacy and view that you get from the top of the property make it well worth it. Zach and Carrier are also very kind and experienced hosts. We really enjoyed the delicious breakfast option. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we look forward to the opportunity to visit again in the future.

Ummmm... cozy AF? Let’s yell it, COZY AFFFF!!
We loved the obvious care and amazing upkeep Zach and Carrie have/do for their property and Eco-campground.
Staying in the cozy hand built A-frame was really special. The beds are extremely comfortable, with colorful welcoming linens. The site and the whole grounds as far as we could see were clean and tidy. Water was offered, and emergency help if needed. We felt safe and well taken care of. The toilet system was super easy to use and CLEAN!
The sound does really travel at this location, and is definitely a spot to relax and have a calm night or two with nature.
It was a quick and lovely drive up to the Grand Canyon from this site, we highly recommend it to anyone looking to sleep well and feel safe.

Zach and Carrie's place is awesome! Zach was a really sweet and helpful host-- and a great cook! It's a strange time to be sharing company and lodging but Zach and Carrie made me feel more than welcome and taken care of while keeping responsible protocol with Covid 19. I arrived on a night that was pretty chilly and Zach and Carrie had prepared extra blankets and space heaters for me so that I would be comfortable. I wish I had gotten the full A frame experience with a warm night but maybe another time. The bathroom had easy instructions for compost, the shower had great views of the valley, and the property itself offered a good amount of privacy for everyone on site. I would highly recommend this listing!

We loved staying in this adorable A-frame! We felt welcomed by our friendly hosts, Zach and Carrie. What a special place, amazing energy. Loved watching the sunrise every morning from our bed and visiting the yoga area to flow before hiking. We stayed plenty warm at night with the extra blankets. We will be recommending to anyone looking for a place to stay when visiting the Grand Canyon. Thank you!
