CAMPSITE DESCRIPTION

Welcome to nature's planetarium...

On clear nights, sleep under a wondrous view of the Milky Way and expansive stars! Then, awaken in the morning to the local songbirds and buzzing of the local hummingbirds. Bring a camera, as the sunset skies are always unique. The 2.3-acre property has plenty of Juniper and Pinon trees.

PETS:

We are "pet friendly" as long as your pets are friendly too! We have medium/large family-oriented dogs kept inside or within a fenced area by our home. We have many critters here on our mini-farm as well.

(Tie outs or leashes required when outside of your tent or trailer, but we may make an exception for well-behaved pets.)

You can pick up a "few" last minute foods and drinks at the local Valle Travel Stop located 4.5 miles away. However, it's best to stock up on supplies prior to arrival.

Please notify us at least half an hour before arrival time if possible.

NOTE: Due to the majority of our guests coming and going to the canyon early in the morning, our latest check-in time is 8:00 PM

Please be mindful and courteous of our other campers. Our "quiet hours" are between 9 pm-6 am. (music, generators, barking dogs, etc.)

Thanks, and enjoy your stay!

Suzanne was very nice and accommodating, with a nice little campsite and fire pit. Highly recommended if you are looking for a camping spot close to the Grand Canyon for day excursions.

This site was amazing for those that want to get away but have the safety of a host nearby. I was camping by myself and felt incredibly safe. Great paths to mountain bike on, cows just roaming on through the grounds, amazing night sky and a seriously fantastic private outdoor shower! After hiking 20+ miles in GC that was amazing!

had a wonderful weekend at the campsite! suzanne's family was very welcoming and it was a great slice of nature away from the grand canyon tourist area but still within a reasonable driving distance (about 30 minutes directly north). a really prime location for your grand canyon trip. about 10 minutes down the road from a gas station/convenience store and about 20 minutes from a town (williams) with all the amenities if you forgot anything. thank you!

Suzanne was so response to all my many questions leading up to my stay. The road leading into the site was a little rough, but even my small car with low-profile tires was fine with taking it slow. I spent the majority of my time away from camp but my two nights there were peaceful and quiet - except for the beautiful howling of coyotes in the background which I found relaxing. I’m a huge astronomy geek and the star gazing here is PHENOMENAL. They were very accommodating hosts, explained all of the camp workings very accurately and It was so interesting to hear about some of their off-grid living techniques. Another note - I had very intermittent cell/data coverage (Verizon) but that was a plus to me. I go camping like this to get away from all this. I would stay here again.

This is the place to go if you want wide open space and to gaze at the stars in the dark night. Off the beaten track but less than an hour drive to Grand Canyon and not too far from Flagstaff. Andrew was a great host, very friendly and willing to help with whatever needed. A compost toilet and outdoor shower to share with other guests nearby. Rustic but meets the needs. Fire pits available along with lounge chairs which was a bonus for sleeping on!
