We didn’t stay here because Outdoor Access had the incorrect address connected to the campsite link. They also did not respond to any phone calls, emails or text messages to help resolve the situation.
Absolutely gorgeous piece of property within walking distance of Kerr Lake. We took our two teenage boys and they had a blast. Fully stocked pond, two John boats, a canoe, walking trails to Kerr Lake docks...they didn’t want to leave! Perfect getaway our family needed to unplug and unwind. And Chuck is a fantastic host. Greeted us at the property’s edge so we could follow him to the site, left us plenty of firewood for this super cool fire pit/grill set up, and basically everything we needed to have a nice, relaxing evening by the pond. We can’t wait to go back!
Fantastic spot with lots of space! Kids and dog had a blast running around. Boating and fishing was a lot of fun and the silly otter kept us smiling. The stars were amazing. Will definitely book again and invite more friends. Great place for a socially distanced get together.

Chuck’s place was beyond expectations and my boys and I had a blast! The trails were well kept and we spent hours walking through the woods and down to the lake. The pond at the campsite provided hours of fishing for the boys. There were picnic tables, a fire pit, and as my boys said “the CLEANEST porta-potty in the WORLD (it really was😁)! Chuck was very friendly and welcoming and a great host! This is the perfect spot for family camping and we will be back!
Great stay - lovely campsite with wonderful fire and grill and super clean toilet facilities

Camping at The Honeysuckle Teahouse
The Honeysuckle Teahouse is a magical place for me, and I have loved going for a drink and to hangout for years. I didn't realize they had a couple of campsites until just before we camped. I knew well what to expect since I was familiar with the place--camping in a field and close to houses is different than more remote woods camping, but it was a fun mini getaway for my family and me.

Coleman Camping
Our group of six really enjoyed our stay. We caught lots of bass in the lake. The surroundings were well maintained and our dogs could run without leashes. There is even a nice wooded area for shade. Also the views of cows across from the lake was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend and would come back.

Chuck's Place
Gorgeous place all to ourselves! Clean site, private, and firewood provided. Chuck is nice attentive and helpful!
This campsite certainly has the potential to be great. It's very private, on a lake with fish that can be easily caught, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. However, the owner has a bit of work to do to get it to its full potential, explained below.
First, when I arrived, I followed the directions provided by HipCamp and pulled up to the owner's house. Without going into too much detail, the owner was surprised to see me and told me that "we tried the whole campers thing but it didn't work out. We don't do it any more and I've never gotten any money for it." I explained to the owner that I already paid and was able to connect him with HipCamp and they worked things out. The owner was very nice and was still open to me camping on his property even before sorting things out with HipCamp, but the owner needs to better manage how the camping should work for his property.
Second, the camp site was beautiful...from a distance. The field was an active cow pasture and there were cow patties EVERYWHERE. Literally every two feet. It made it almost impossible to even plot a tent. We had two young kids with us, and let's just say that their shoes are now garbage.
The fire pit was just cinder blocks in a circle, which is fine, but we had to put it together and it wasn't in an ideal location (surrounding area wasn't flat making it hard to have chairs around it). The boats that were offered were old and rusty and clearly not taken care of. There was junk in the camp site, including a very old, not water-worthy, pontoon boat; a rusty boat trailer, and junk chairs. Nearby the immediate campsite were dozens of large red ant mounds. The lake had a dock, but it was very old and also not kept in good shape. It was also not attached to the land, so we had to create a bridge to get onto the dock. The owner was worried about young kids falling into the water, so asked us not to use the boat with them. No life vests were included (not that I was about to use the boat anyway after seeing it, but it was originally a highlight for the site).
All this said, the site was very pretty. It had rolling hills with a beautiful lake surrounded by beautiful trees. I think this campsite has A LOT of potential, but the owner needs to clean it up quite a bit for it to really be great. He also needs to say on top of emails and correspondences from HipCamp and better manage the listing. As is, I can't recommend, but maybe if improvements are made.

The farm is beautiful and it's really nice to have the tea house there. The space was quiet and private. Might be improved with a picnic table at the site and a really good trim of the grass before people arrived. But these are minor issues that would not deter us from coming again or recommending the place.

Chuck was great and the site was perfect! Right along the water - we were able to use the boats to row around, and there was so much room for us to pitch our tents and relax by the fire pit. As Chuck's pace has low light pollution, we got some great views of the sky with our telescope.

A fantastic place - such a magical setting with the gardens and tearoom. Will definitely return.
Chuck's Place was OUTSTANDING! The property was secluded, private, and natural - just what we were looking for. The pond and area to roam kept the kids and doggies entertained for days. Our activities included walking trails, pond fishing and boating, Kerr lake swimming and boating, camp fire cooking, and relaxation on a supreme piece of property.
Chuck's customer service was superb and beyond what was expected. Our group really enjoyed this location and we will be back. Not only that, we have spread the word to other friends to book future camp trips to Chuck's Place.
There is a walk to the lake. BUT, the walk was enjoyable as it is a nicely kept trail. We saw frogs, squirrels, and deer on our walks to the lake - a bit of nature that we really enjoyed!
FYI: Previous campers kept the campsite clean - as did we - and we encourage future guests to do the same to preserve these great camp sites.
The gps directions took us an hour away from the site. Once we got there it was a field filled with cow poo. We slept and walked in poo. Not really ideal.
Very relaxing and peaceful. The owner is awesome. highly recommend if your looking for piece and quiet. Clean shower and kitchen.
Chuck was very friendly and great with helping us get to the campsite despite me missing several of his calls and having to show up to the site after dark. He also had some good tips for fishing in the area. At the site was firewood, a nice fire pit With a removable grill, a picnic table, and two little boats to paddle around in and some docks with a river to swim in are a short hike away. Personally I didn’t swim in it because the water was a little murkier than I usually feel comfortable with, but others in our group partook. One thing to note is across the pond from the campsite is his house and he came and said hi halfway through the visit which we personally didn’t mind, but if you want a 100% private experience it’s something to think about.

Great camping spot, great host, we really enjoyed our time there!
This site more than exceeded our expectations. The location and amenities provided were superb and better that photographed. Chuck himself was an extremely nice guy who made us feel at home and made sure we had everything we needed. The fishing was great, porta potty was very clean, firewood was provided and the fire pit/grill was awesome. The large field next to the pond allows plenty of room for kids to run and play , while the large trees offer plenty of shade. The boats were very nice to have and in great shape. We will be coming back quite often and recommend to anyone who likes privacy when they camp to check it out.

We had booked the Yome to spend a weekend away from our apartment during quarantine. We were so excited to bring our senior dog to sniff everything the farm has to offer. Unfortunately, the night before check in, our pup had some severe pain and spent the day at the vet. We couldn’t make it to the Yome. Communication with the host was quick and they were totally understanding. They allowed us to check in the next day if our pup was up to it but, unfortunately, we couldn’t make it. In the end, the host were understanding and flexible. Great customer service! We will be booking again in the near future when the pup is all better.

Bell Lake Estate
We really enjoyed our stay. It’s very well maintained and we were lucky enough to have a large area all to ourselves. We would definitely return!
Chuck was so accommodating. He met us to make sure we made it safely, provided us with firewood, and offered us ice just in case we couldn’t find any. There were boats with floating devices available for our use on our own private pond! My 14-year-old stayed occupied all day! We caught dozens of bass and blue Gill on rooster tails. Such a beautiful and well kept property and less than 30 mins to Henderson and just around the corner from Hibernia boat ramp and campground. We paid for a site for a day at Hibernia campground to use their facilities to shower. Since there was no water, chuck allowed us to fill up at another location owned by him. Although it was hot we still loved Chunks place and will be coming back next year!
Nice setup, beautiful lake!
My husband, sons and I had a wonderful time. The host and hostess took great care of us; the ponds were beautiful and full of color and life; and we loved listening to the roosters in the distance. We spent our time kayaking and fishing. My son even caught two fish.

The host was very attentive to our needs and was flexible. Would visit again.
Awesome place you get all to yourself. Private and has a locking gate. There was a firepit and outdoor shower on site. It was a little buggy but that's to be expected. Will be staying there again.

Perhaps a good site during the colder months, but hard to bear in the summer heat. The mosquitos at this site were relentless and made the experience less than ideal.
