Acadia East Campground - Acadia Mtn
The site was farther up hill then we had originally thought, but was private and large and had a great view of the stars. The host was super helpful and accommodating when we were thinking of trying to move sites. We ended up sticking with the one we originally had and really enjoyed it.

Acadia East Campground - Acadia Mtn
This site was great. Secluded and private with well marked campsites. About 30-40 minutes from Acadia. It was really a great site. Would highly recommend.
When we arrived someone had taken our site. They were not on the premises so we could not ask them to move. We were able to stay in another spot luckily because it was empty.

Great spot and every site has privacy. Easy smooth and beautiful
This campground and site are literally just off a very busy road. Roaring cars were audible and visible from the site, which was full of roots, slanted and completely unappealing. We didn’t even unpack - it was so depressing to imagine staying there for a night (much less two as we had planned). I would not recommend staying there to anyone

Acadia East Campground is an okay option - pros: close to Schoodic point, parking is well labeled, bathroom was relatively clean and had toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Cons: so much noise from the road, labeling of campsites wasn’t great- for beehive it was hard to tell what the actual plot was, over 45 minute drive to the main trailheads of Acadia

Acadia East Campground The Beehive
Beehive was extremely close to the parking lot which was nice for retrieving items but also we could hear the high way all night long, and anytime campers on the other sites needed to come or go they walked by our site so it wasn't terribly private. The outhouse was in rough shape but to be expected I guess.. the beehive site was also slanted (from chatting with other campers they all were that way) so it made for a difficult night of sliding off out mattress pad all night. The site had a lot of roots and I twisted my ankle on the first night. All to say... I wouldn't come again BUT it is within driving distance to Arcadia, we hung up our hammock and enjoyed the campfire, so it's certainly comfortable enough to work with. And hey, we were camping to keep socially distanced during our trip to Arcadia and this site allowed us to accomplish that !
Very quiet and well kept campsite. I appreciated the reflective arrow markers when getting back to the site in the dark with headlamp. Lots of good wildlife noises and well isolated, though not too rough of a hike in from the well marked parking area. Appreciated the outhouse with lighting, toilet paper holder and hand sanitizer provided.

Acadia East Campground - Wonderland
Several spots tucked into the woods right off the highway, so there was quite a bit of road noise. Good alternative in a pinch if you aren’t able to get into a campground at Acadia though!

Acadia East Campground Cadillac Mtn
Tom was great with all the questions i had, responded quickly! The sites were great! The further the site you get, the higher up you go! Keep that in mind, there is an incline! We stayed at Wonderland campsite close to the bathroom! It was perfect for us! We have no complaints and would def come back again! It is approximately 1 hr away from the top of Cadalliac Mountain in Acadia National Park!

Was easy to find the camp location, but we arrived after dark, and it was somewhat difficult to find the Thunderhole site (it is in the far back of the camp). There wasn't a map or any site specific directions. Luckily another camper was able to direct us.
The location is fairly far off the road, but you can hear some car noise. It is private (didn't hear noise from other sites), and has a picnic table and fire pit (with firestarters available and a bucket of water for extinguishing the fire). Overall was a pleasant experience!

The campsite was easy to find, and has a single parking area with one spot for each of the four campgrounds. There's also an informational board at the parking area, so we never needed to ask the host for anything. The Cadillac Mountain campground, where we stayed, was the furthest in walking distance from the parking area. This made it feel more private, but if you have any heavy gear it'll be a workout to carry it to camp!
We easily found a relatively flat and comfortable place to set up our tent. There is a fire pit and a picnic table at each campsite, but if you're planning on cooking over the fire, as we did, please note that there is no metal grate to put over the fire, so bring your own if you need it! If you have, and have the space for, folding seats or stools, those would have been nice to set up around the fire as well. The host provided a full 5 gallon bucket of water for you to extinguish the fire, though, which was a thoughtful touch.

Acadia East Campground The Beehive
Site was beautiful and toilet was clean, exactly as described. The Beehive was nice because we didn’t have to mule all our gear too far from the car and it felt more like car camping which for our one day visit was fine. The road was definitely quite close though and loud especially early in the morning. The other sites are probably quieter since they are up the hill a bit.
Overall beautiful place and just a short drive to beautiful sites!
