Mary and Rick were wonderful hosts!! My husband and I had an amazing experience camping and are definitely going back to this campsite again. There was plenty of space, and we were able to choose where to set up. The goats and horses were adorable and friendly. Mary and Rick also provided firewood and were extremely accommodating. I am so thankful we stayed here!
Marick Acres is a wonderful place to hip camp! The hosts are extremely kind, welcoming, and accommodating . Their land is spacious and open, so they let me choose wherever I wanted to camp and there were plenty of great options. The property is beautiful and I enjoyed looking at their goats, horses, and ducks.
If your looking for a Beautiful quiet place with two Beautiful souls, youve come to the right place! We found this place lookin to camp close to Indy, we got here very late but were welcomed by two kind hosts who were awesome enough to start a campfire for us. We pitched camp and were just fascinated by how beautiful the night sky was, the stars surely shine like diamonds, open country air and surrounded by a quaint town. There is also a cemetery nestled on the side of their property.I was so pleased to get Peace and quiet and meet some amazing farm animals. The mama Horse and foul were very friendly and were accompanied a trio of goats whom i called the three stooges were very entertaining to watch. Im blessed to have met Mary and Rich and stay at their beautiful home on a little piece of heaven that is so inviting. I highly recommended will most definitely be returning not only to camp but to see two peoole whom i consider friends
Quiet and private city escape
We love Marick Acres and plan to return! This was our second visit—we enjoy the private, expansive campground surrounded by country sounds and peaceful night. Hosts are fabulous.
Who knew paradise was in indiana?
When Mary describes Marick Acres as her own little slice of heaven on Earth she has it exactly right. Their plot is absolutely beautiful, and it could not be cared for by nicer people. This was our first Hipcamp experiemce, and the bar has most definitely been set. Unbelievably friendly hosts, all sorts of room for the kids to run around in (we described it to family as having our own private meadow). If you are anywhere near central Indiana this is the place you need to stay. My only regret is that we were just passing through and couldn't stay longer.
Marick Acres was beautiful! We got in late and the host stayed up to greet us with a flashlight so we could easily find the property. We were on a cross country road trip and needed a safe space to pitch our tent overnight- we felt highly accommodated and would recommend this listing.
My girlfriend and I are currently apart from each other (she's in northern Indiana and I am in Louisville, Kentucky) so we went searching for a campsite in the middle for a weekend meet up. All of the campsites were booked, so we ended up stumbling across Marick Acres on Hipcamp. Mary and her husband were very inviting, having made us a fire (we got in late), showing us everything we would need during our stay, and even giving us some homemade cookies! We had a night of s'mores, stargazing, and chatting around the fire. It was a wonderfully relaxing and fun experience.
