Are pets allowed at Barnegat Lighthouse State Park?

Pets are allowed at Barnegat Lighthouse State Park but must always be on a leash no longer than six feet in length and under the control of the owner. Pets are not permitted on the jetty walkway or nature trail, and between April 1 and September 15, they are not allowed on the beach due to endangered bird nesting area.
