(XC) Rikert Nordic Center
Ski resort
Rikert Nordic Center is nestled in the heart of the Green Mountains in Vermont, offering a serene and picturesque setting for cross-country skiing. The center boasts a reliable snowfall each winter, contributing to a skiing season that generally runs from December through March. The terrain at Rikert is well-suited for beginners and families, with gentle trails that meander through the surrounding forests and fields. While there are no terrain parks, night skiing, or lift systems, as it is a Nordic center, the focus is on cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The center offers over 50 kilometers of meticulously groomed trails for classic and skate skiing, and there are also dedicated snowshoe trails. The views at Rikert are tranquil, featuring the natural beauty of the New England landscape. It's a family-friendly destination, with ski lessons and rentals available for all ages. In addition to skiing and snowshoeing, visitors can enjoy fat biking on certain trails. However, there are no ice skating, snow tubing, snowmobiling, or sledding areas at the center.
