Eaglecrest Ski Area is a community-owned ski resort located on Douglas Island, Juneau, Alaska. Known for receiving abundant snowfall, it typically enjoys a long skiing season from early December through mid-April. The terrain at Eaglecrest is diverse, offering something for all skill levels, including beginner-friendly slopes and more challenging areas for advanced skiers. While there are no terrain parks, the resort boasts impressive backcountry areas for experienced adventurers. Cross-country skiers can also enjoy Nordic trails. However, there is no night skiing available. The lift system includes two double chairs, one triple chair, and a surface lift. Eaglecrest offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and waterways, making it a picturesque skiing destination. It's a family-friendly resort with a ski school and youth programs. Besides skiing and snowboarding, other winter activities include snowshoeing, though there are no designated areas for ice skating, snow tubing, snowmobiling, or sledding within the resort.
