ABOUT US Sleeping Bear is a family-friendly RV Park and Campground. With its beautiful views, refreshing amenities and nearby attractions, our park is the perfect vacation spot! Sleeping Bear RV Park was built by Christine who lovingly nurtured it for 20 plus years. In 2018 she happily retired when Sleeping Bear was purchased by Open Trail Adventure LLC. The O'Malley family co-own the park with Tom and Cathy Williams and are managers of Sleeping Bear RV Park and campground. After falling in love with Lander and excitedly leaving city life far behind, the O'Malley's are now eager to brighten every guests stay here at Sleeping Bear RV Park. ABOUT LANDER Lander is an outdoor hotbed, a small town of less then 8,000 people, complete with great dining, little shops, and a bustling walkable main street. Home to Sinks Canyon, museums, a bowling alley, bronze foundry and impressive city parks. Enjoy a summer bustling with events set in the beautiful Wyoming countryside. Rich in natural resources, Lander as been a base for oil wells and various mining including coal, uranium and iron. Wyoming of course is beef country and Lander is no exception with its ranching community. The forested-covered mountains offer trees for logging and its wild animals are a hunters haven. Over the years Lander has reinvented itself as an outdoor enthusiast paradise. Now renowned for its rock climbing, mountain biking, hunting/ fishing and more; visitors come from all over the world to partake in Wyoming's grandeur. It depends on which gate you enter. The southern gate through the Tetons is about a three-hour drive, whereas the eastern gate is about a 3 hour and 45-minute drive. Keep in mind this is just the distance to the gates. Yellowstone is a massive park and it can take time to drive from the gates to the geysers, not to mention wildlife traffic delays. -Are there bears in the RV park? No, there are no bears in our RV Park. We have visiting deer and occasional beavers but no bears. There are bears however in the surrounding mountains, especially in the higher elevations. -Cell Service? There is actually a Verizon tower in town. Most sizable towns you pass will have cell service, but expect that service to drop once you leave. Wyoming is beautiful, put your phone to the side and enjoy our scenery, our eateries and our wildlife! -I heard a loud siren! Lander has a volunteer fire department. The siren you hear is the fire whistle calling out our fire department. -Can your park fit my rig? Motor homes are getting bigger and bigger every year. Our park has 50 foot and 70-foot pull-throughs. Nearly all of our pull-through sites have trees. Our best view sites are 60 foot back in/pull in and they do not have trees. We do have one 80 foot back in site as well. -When does your park close? Our park is actually open year-round and the managers live onsite to assist our guests needs. While the park is always open, the office is closed occasionally on some holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, ect. We close the office when we take our short vacations during the winter. -How far are you from town? We are located on a small hill that overlooks Lander City and Lander valley. It is a 3 -5 minute drive into town, or a 20 minute walk. -What time is check in/check out? Check in begins at 2 pm. Check out is at 11:00 am. You can request a late check out time of 12:30 pm which we will do our best to accommodate. -Do you allow pets? Yes we do allow pets. We understand your furry friends are family members so why leave them behind on your exciting adventure? All pets must remain under your supervision and on a leash/fenced in at all times. Lander is a beautiful town with lots of wildlife and these rules are for your dear pet's safety.

Good bathrooms. Bad tent sleeping. Very loud highway next to tent spots, also there was a catholic camp sining across the street that was very loud until about 12-1am.

Overall, the site was gorgeous! The people there were kind, and everything looked the way it should. Unfortunately, there was so much loose gravel that it’s all I could hear at night when people were walking around. The campground also started yard work very early in the morning which was also very loud

Overall we had a great experience. Sleeping Bear RV Camp met all of our needs. The grounds and facilities were clean and well maintained. We both showered and found the bathrooms up lodging standards. The view of Lander and the Wyoming skyline was amazing. The Dog walk area around the corner from our sight offered a great view of the town and surrounding area. Site BB13 however, had us feeling a little too close for comfort to our neighbors. The site's hook up are at the front left side of the back-in only drive way. This made it difficult for our standard 30 amp electrical cord to reach as we had to pull closer to the electrical box, which then left us little to no room to park our truck in front of the camper trailer. This site also shared a double sided hookup box. Because of how the site was situated we the front door to our trailer facing directly to the back side of our neighbors camper with little patio room for set up. Note that on the opposite side there was a shared grass area, picnic table and fire pit. We used the table for our small grill and played corn hole along the grassy area one night. Unfortunately we did not have a fire. Would recommend this campground and it was conveniently located on our way to Yellowstone, it was easy to book online and relatively affordable. Would recommend looking over site map more thoughly before booking.

It was nice place to camp. Small, but not crowded. Clean, quiet. The bathrooms were very clean, it was nice to have a private bathroom. Would like to go back again.

Sleeping Bear was a nice and fun experience. I wish we could have spent more time to enjoy the place. Friendly staff and great accommodations in WY. Clean showers, easy instructions and relaxed vibe.

This was a mixed bag. The tent sites were exactly as shown in the pictures - a gravel pad with a place to park. Which was fine because that’s just what we needed for the night. But, were only 2 tent campers and they placed us next to each other, so not very private and our site was on a slope and next to the highway. The bathrooms were private and clean, the grounds were nice & grassy. It was super convenient to hiking and town.
