Beautiful location with stunning views; the stars and sunrise were lovely. The hosts were very quick with communication. I hope to stay again sometime and would recommend to others who are looking for a primitive camping experience in a great place.

It was one of the most beautiful sunrises I’ve ever seen! It was quiet for the most part with the exception of some dogs off in the distance. We were the only ones out there until late. Someone came to stay and watch the sunrise and then left. We had most of the following day there completely alone. She was very communicative and responsive! We loved it and can’t wait to go back!

We tented on the ridge and had a great view. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. And despite the light pollution on the horizon you can still see the glow of the Milky Way on a clear night. There a bunch of bald eagles flying around, which was really cool. One dove down not too far from us.
We were able to hike through some of the woods and wander around (there are no trails, but a couple old access roads). The breezes kept the bite of the heat off most of our stay, but it's an open field so.. no shade. If you head further down the road there is a pull off where you can go down to the river. Definitely wear shoes because there's broken glass and lost fishing gear out there in the water.
It's not fancy, and it doesn't have to be. We had a great time and it was a good opportunity to completely unplug from technology. Thank you for sharing your property with us!

It’s such a lovely place!! The previous review mentioned they saw a red moon — I was kinda jealous, but we ended up seeing it too! It was sooo bright, clear, and huge, like it was right in front of us.
The host was super nice and friendly. He gave us some fire starters and a hatchet to help light the fire (we still failed though 😅). It’s a perfect spot to spend the night!
Just a heads-up — there’s an ant nest on top of the hill. We accidentally set up our tent right over it and got tons of bites 😭 It really hurt. We moved the tent later and it was totally fine after that!
Don’t miss the sunrise — it’s absolutely breathtaking!

The views were lovely. The bathroom is a deer blind turned out house with a bucket with leaf and mulch litter and a bucket for toilet paper it doesn’t smell and is actually clean for what it is. There was a few wasp but looked like a on going issue no one got stung. The gas station isn’t far if you can’t do primitive bathrooms. Paid for a tour nature walk that never happened. The wood was good quality leftover hardwood waste from building. Ended up not using the generator that was our fault on not understanding what the lower drive was. He called shortly after booking to go over directions and the generator. He followed that with a text that had directions broken down. Drive way isn’t bad like some reviews say the fire pit is small rocks in a small circle so you have to stay on top of the fire to make sure the field doesn’t catch fire. There is pine needles and pine cones to help start the fire. The reviews talking about dogs is very factual they were non stop all night there must be a kennel not too far from him and then another person on the ridge has a dog that barked from sun down till sun up. I’d rather hear nature and coyotes tbh. Glad we only booked one night. Thankfully the sun rise made the long night of no sleep worth it. Not 100% sure if we will stay here again because of the dogs the others told us that wasn’t an issue last year so we might give it another go idk. Host was quick to respond.

Pros: beautiful view and easy access. Cons: Home Depot bucket toilet, proximity to house, hard soil (difficult to set up tent), multiple campers, no fire ring or rocks we feared catching high grass on fire and had to gather rocks for fire ring. There were also no signs any where and for the price, I did not expect to be camping in someone’s front yard.

So we were the ONLY campers, and it was absolutely stunning. Gorgeous views, dark star gazing sky. They have 40 sites so if it was busy the experience I’m sure would be more festival camp like, so take that into consideration depending on your camp preference!

Best views!! I was there for the Blood Moon (happy accident!) and it was spectacular followed up with a sunrise that couldn’t have been better! I had the place all to myself. I had a beautiful view of the lake too! I think there was a potty “shed” at the end of the drive, but I had my own so I never used it. You can see their homes, but it was in the distance. The drive is through a large hilltop pasture, but I had no problems, even with my low clearance car.

Beautiful, peaceful camping site. Great host, communicated really well with me. The address provided on here will lead you to the other side of the lake which is where the marina is. I have to type in the street name mentioned on the instructions and found it easily after that.

I loved camping here last weekend. I had the entire space to myself and felt completely safe the entire time. A friend joined on day 2 due to a scheduling conflict, and the hosts were extremely welcoming and flexible to her late arrival. The views are beyond stunning, with the meadow facing sunrise in the morning. The restroom was primitive, but clean and fresh - no smells whatsoever. I would happily camp here again and again. The only tricky thing to know is that the left turn toward the campground is a little hard to spot. As the driveway veers right toward the house, head left out into the meadow and you'll see the tire tracks that make up the "road."

Absolutely perfect—every time!
We’ve stayed here multiple times, and it never disappoints. This place far exceeds any traditional campground you could book. The views are breathtaking, the host is incredibly welcoming, and our dogs love the property. We could go on and on—this truly is the best spot just outside of Chattanooga!

The view was lovely and our dog enjoyed the fields but there are some simple things that could have made the camping better. 1) Some or any indication at the driveway that you are at the right place would be extremely helpful. Do not trust mapping software to get you to the right location. 2) Some indication of where the campsites are would be nice. The grass is basically a bush hogged field and while there are stone rings indicating fire sites they are not easily visible until you're on top of them so some stakes or signage would be good. 3) If you're hauling a camper or a low clearance vehicle you'll want to know that the road beyond the house is in disrepair. All in all, I'd choose a different campsite if I had to do it again.
