For those seeking adventure, the newly developed Trotter Bluff trail is located near the entrance. This easy 1-mile hike winds through a beautiful forest filled with chestnut trees and diverse wildlife, providing opportunities to spot artifacts from the dam's construction. At the Douglas Tailwater campgrounds, you’ll find an additional 61 campsites, with 45 offering electric and water connections. This area includes 2 ADA accessible sites, 7 tent-only campsites, and 9 RV sites. Guests can enjoy the convenience of two bathhouses equipped with showers and toilets, ensuring a comfortable stay.
