The camping was absolutely amazing. 20 yards from my tent was a swimming hole fed by a waterfall. The rain forest would sing me to sleep every night. He supplied a grill and the forest supplied many fruits and almonds. The man that owns the land was absolutely amazing and knowledgeable. Not only was I camping on his site for three weeks he also took me to many gorgeous places across Puerto Rico. When I go on vacation again it will be here. I was involved in a fire last year and I can honestly say that my time here has helped me to move back to whole again.

Augusto’s place is lovely! The host was very welcoming and an awesome person to talk to. He takes pride of his place as he personally enjoys and cares for it. I would 100% recommend this place if you want to know what the island has to offer in terms of its beauty, nature and people.
At night’s solitude you will be able to enjoy the sounds of nature, the songs of the coquís and the relaxing music of the water stream that is right by the campsite. You will also be able to see a waterfall and enjoy a magnificent sunset at this site. Come prepared to walk down a short and steep hike of 10-15 minutes. The soil is mostly clay, so bring your boots or shoes that are not slippery.
Do not forget to #PackItInPackItOut and #LeaveNoTrace. Augusto is taking care of his land by himself but you can also help by leaving the place even better than you found it!!!

The first thing Angel described Puerto Ricans as being best known for to my partner and I was their generosity and hospitality. Angel provided us with an incredibly unique trip and experience while, exceeding all expectations we had of him as a host. His farm was beautiful and creates a gorgeous natural experience in the magical biome known as the tropics. The days on the farm are filled with ripe fruit, waterfall showers and breathtaking views. While the nighttime experience on the farm was filled with an orchestra of life and stars brighter than I knew they could be. Angel went out of his way to make us feel safe, provided for and excited about all that the island has to offer. This is the authentic Puerto Rican experience you are looking for!
