We loved the farm style camping experience. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. My husband grew up on a farm and loved seeing all the old equipment.

What a wonderful place to stay for a peaceful overnight rest! We were tucked away in a quiet part of the farm, private but still easy to get our camper into. We had a lovely view of the woods and fields. The farm itself is beautiful and has a rich family history. Mary Jo and her husband are very friendly and have great stories about the land and buildings. Our water & electric hookups worked well and we were delighted with the added surprise of a hot shower and bathroom in the main barn! We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend!

Mary Jo and Brent are the kindest people! They made us feel right at home. Fargo is a short drive away, but nighttime on the farm is quiet and peaceful. You can really have the best of both worlds here.

Lovely farm with lots of charm! The host, Mary Jo and her husband Brent couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. They do weddings so they have many tabes and chairs which campers can use. Also bathrooms and shower etc...

What a wonderful place to stay. The facilities were cleaner and more organized than most formal campgrounds we camped in this summer. The hosts were so kind and accommodating. It was a very pleasant overnight experience.

Mary Jo and her husband were very friendly and we're great hosts. We planned to camp in a tent but they put us up in a guest cabin because it was raining. We were relieved to say the least. Great experience and beautiful farm!

Mary Jo and Brent have created the perfect HipCamp experience. Their farm is a fabulous oasis and they could not have been more welcoming. The bathroom and water facilities were way beyond any camping expectations. Their barn is beautiful. Their history to the land is fun to talk about. This east coast girl slept on the edge of a corn field in North Dakota and it was an awesome night

Mary Jo and Brent welcomed us in warmly and we had a comforting and relaxing stay. They are genuine folks with whom we connected right away. There is wonderful open space on this beautiful and well kept farm. We had a very restful sleep. Crooked Lane Farm was easily one of the highlights on our cross-country trip. Thank you Mary Jo and Brent for such a memorable stay. Would love to come back!

Crooked Lane Farm was a treat. Half way between Duluth and Theodore Rossevelt Natl Park, it is a great place to relax and recharge your batteries. Mary Jo and Brent are kind hosts. I particularly liked the 1 mile walking trail and the array of tractors, farm implelements and antique cars in the barn. The bluegrass concert gave us a reason to stay an extra day.
RVers. We loved the 30 amp site under the trees.

This is our first hipcamp stay and it was the best experience we could have asked for. Absolutely Stunning! Mary Jo and her husband were wonderful . They have an incredible set up there and host weddings and other events. No events the week we were there, but they have nice clean bathrooms and a shower you can use. They made sure we had everything we needed. They were so very welcoming, truly an absolute delight. The scenery is peaceful and beautiful. We have full time RV’d for 2 years and this place is definitely on our top 3. We have a 1 and 2 year old and they were able to play and run around. We had open space to fly kites. They have a great walking trail. 10/10 recommend - will definitely stay again. Simply perfect!

Staying at Crooked Lane Farm was relaxing a very welcoming. Mary Jo and her husband are wonderful hosts. We loved the laid back atmosphere and attitudes of everyone there. We will definitely stay again.

What a fabulous time! The property was a picture perfect farmstead! There was even a 1 mile trail cut through the wood and next door to a vineyard! Literally right next door! We watched the sunset over the fields and went on a gravel bike ride to the Fort less than 3 miles away. The hosts were amazing!! Could not have asked for a better experience:)

I can’t really say enough about CLF. Amazing location. Great facilities. Above all was the genuine hospitality. The hosts are truly wonderful people. Not sure I’ll be passing through the area anytime soon, but if I am, I’ll be back at Crooked Lane Farms for sure.

My wife, 3year son, and myself spent 5 nights at the farm while I was in town for work. We had such a wonderful time at Crooked Lane on our working vacation. From the trails, to exploring the various barns/sites on the farm, to the concert one evening - we throughly enjoyed ourselves. The only aspect that surpassed the farm itself was Brent and Mary Jo! Just great hosts - so friendly and kind. Hope to see you again!

Mary Jo and Brent are AMAZING hosts! They’re very warm, engaging and accommodating of all guests. We very much enjoyed visiting with them on their beautiful property.
The accommodations themselves are also excellent. Large open fields with plenty of space for tenting or RVs/sleepers, with access to indoor very clean flush toilets in the adjacent barn. Enjoy views of the fields, explore the barn quilts, hang with their friendly pup Maxine, or even take a hike on the grounds.
I haven’t been HipCamping for very long, but Crooked Lane definitely sets a high bar for future experiences - one that I doubt will be surpassed.

What's a wonderful place with the loveliest of hosts. Highly recommend. The trail was beautiful to walk and the gardens and painted quit blocks were still fun to see. Do stop by this place.

What a wonderful experience to stay here during our travels! Quiet, peaceful, relaxing, friendly, yet still very easy to find and not out of the way. Would definitely consider stopping here again! The hosts were so thoughtful in every aspect of our stay. They had a little swing set that the children got to play on, as well as a little walking trail. We got to see a deer and hear turkey on our walk! If you’re looking for a safe place to camp at, this is a great choice!!

I had a wonderful time at Crooked Lane. It was a very interesting place and Mary Jo and Brent were the perfect hosts. We had some delightful conversations and they put me up on the bunkhouse, a charming little cabin which was much more comfortable than my car. There was a lovely 1 mile trail to walk on the property that relieved the driving stress. I would love to go back when there’s music in the air or blacksmithing classes!
