Really enjoyed camping here! My best friend and I were bikepacking the Northern Railtrail and this was a perfect site for it. It's about half way into the railtrail, easy access, well maintained, and right by the Danbury Country Store (their breakfast sandwiches were awesome). Jamie answered my messages quick and was very kind. We hope to be back next year when we do the south side of the trail!

Site was fine for the price - had fire pit and platforms (with many screws sticking out of it). There was a lot of gun shots nearby so it wasn’t the quiet and relaxing camp experience we’d hoped for. To access the site, you have to drive through another site and also to get to the port-a-potty need to pass back through their site.

We LOVED camping on Jamie's land! Though the descriptions of the sites are not accurately provided in the listing as the photos don't show any of the sites, or even what the view really is from the sites, but rather the pictures provided show if you were to drive up further on the property instead of turning to where the campsites are - but nonetheless, we were THRILLED with the Hilltop site. We typically go out of our way to find dry campsites that are private petfriendly with no people around, peaceful with no loud noises, & secluded in woods, and Jamie's Hilltop Campsite was a PERFECT fit! When you first pull down to the sites, there appears to be 1 site right across the porta potty, once you go past the porta potty there is one big site with 2 platforms and a big fire pit area this is where we parked. From here you park and could continue walking straight were you will find another large platform in the woods (we think this is also a part of the big site because there is no fire pit near the platform). There is also a small foot path to the right where we walked about 60 ft uphill to the Hilltop site that we reserved. Though the description of these sites may be deceiving as more information on them is given to you AFTER your booking, we were absolutely elated with the results of this site. For us this is a perfect camping experience and thankfully no other campers had reserved for that weekend so it truly was contactless and people free - ours (& our dog's) favorite!

What a great camping spot! The fire ring with the attached grill was perfect. The host Jamie was very accommodating even leaving a bundle of firewood. Thank you! and I hope to stay here again soon!

Pros: Very secluded and quiet. Close to a fun, old-school general store.
Cons: Knee-high grass (so very buggy) and the platform has broken, jagged planks that would tear a tent and would be uncomfortable.
This is a great campsite for roughing it with a tent on the ground in tall grass; not so much for glamping.

I needed a place to camp on my bike tour from Cape Cod to White River Junction and this camp was perfect! Walking distance from the rail trail and Danbury Country store. The sites are well established with tent pads and fire pits and for someone like me who hammocks, the Sherwood site tent pad has trees perfectly spaced on either side to hang a hammock and tarp.

Loved camping here with our dog! Super private campsite, great fireplace, negligible road noise (other than cows!), and berry picking! Jamie was a fantastic host, giving us many recommendations for hiking and canoeing in the area! We’re very excited to stay here again!

Jamie’s land was a beautiful, quiet little area! It was nice exploring the area and being able to see the cows across the road. Near Ruggles Mine and right up the road from a fantastic little country store. Perfect place to camp!

Jamie was an amazing host - checked in with us at the start and set everything up for an easy stay. We had the whole place to ourselves! It was nice and quiet, with the exception of the occasional moo from the cows across the street :)
