Established in 1965, this park honors the dedicated volunteers who provided fire protection to the Libby community. Over the years, it has evolved into a welcoming retreat for tourists and a venue for community events and large gatherings. Conveniently located off U.S. Hwy 2, right behind the Libby Area Chamber of Commerce, Fireman Memorial Park features a variety of amenities. Visitors can enjoy two sheltered picnic pavilions, a playground for children, a splash pad for warm days, and semi-primitive camping facilities suitable for both tents and RVs. The park's prime location offers easy access to Libby's finest retail shops, family-friendly dining options, and various business offices. At the center of the park, the Libby Volunteer Fire Department Monument serves as a poignant tribute. This three-sided memorial wall honors the names of volunteer firefighters who have served with distinction in the LVFD. Accompanied by a striking bronze statue of a firefighter in full gear, this tribute leaves a lasting impression of the commitment and bravery of all Libby Fire Department volunteers, both past and present.
