Beautiful location for a romantic anniversary weekend, sadly the weather did not accommodate the use of the hot tub, but we will try again next time. Host was quick to respond to all questions and all our needs were met. Even our pup, who is afraid of other dogs felt relaxed and comfortable.

Jo’s cabin is the cutest thing ever! We have stayed here twice now and she never fails to amaze us. She is so kind, considerate, thoughtful and helpful! I love it here and I can’t wait to find time to come back!

I loved getting to stay at Jo’s mini cabin. We spent our night making a fire to fuel the hot tub and roast marshmallows. Her land is beautiful and there are walking trails to explore it all. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves making fires and wants a cozy stay for the night!

Camping at Plum Orchards was a truly relaxing experience. The micro cabin was a short walk from the parking (a wagon was provided to haul gear) but felt much more remote. The cabin was clean, the bed was comfortable and beautiful fresh cut flowers were a great touch! The hot tub was perhaps my favorite part of the trip and a great place to relax and read a book.

This micro cabin was the idea getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Jo's directions and instructions made the entire experience completely stress free. She was very kind, communicated very well with us when we had questions and even provided us with some yummy treats. We enjoyed this private campsite nestled in the pine grove of their land. The hot tub was the perfect was to end a great day. Highly recommend!

We loved how the flower gardens stood out! Jo even made up flower buckets to have for us in the cabin it was a nice touch. Everything was so well organized right down to the cabins rule book.

Jo’s land was exactly what I was looking for and then some. I am blown away by all the little details that made mine and my pups stay so enjoyable. You really could just show up with some clothes and food and you would be set! Thank you so much for making my trip special!

This was such a cute little weekend get away. Jo was super sweet with providing lots of firewood for us. It was a quick driving to lots of things to do hiking, shopping, kayaking and more. We had breakfast in Jackson at the Roxanne Cafe which I totally recommend. I would definitely return here.

We loved the homey feel of the cabin, and felt the camp in general was a great experience. The water tub was great when cold in the hot weather, but also great when we heated it for the evening to relax. We loved the little walking trail and watching the sunset over the field just next to the camp. Jo was very hospitable and made sure we were taken care of which is the sweetest. A great and beautiful experience! We will be back!

This is a super cute cabin in a pine grove! It felt private and cozy. I imagine it is a great option for cooler temps (the stove, fire pit, and hot tub looked lovely) but we stayed on a night that it was very hot and buggy, meaning we had to choose between closing up the cabin and being super hot or keeping it open and getting eaten by mosquitos. I ended up sleeping in my hammock with a bug net. Also, we noticed an “outhouse” smell that I assume is from prior guests not properly disposing of their toilet paper. We would love to come back when the weather is a bit cooler.

We enjoyed our short stay on Jo’s land, pup and all. Our only mistake was to decide to go camping in the August heat. The cabin is hidden in a secluded cluster of pines, right off of a well maintained pathway that takes you through a 10min. loop through flowers, trees, and tall grass. Plenty of logs were provided for campfire cooking, solar powered lights near the hot tub, and a short drive to both Pickney and Waterloo.

This spot is beautiful and the host went above and beyond to help surprise my partner on our romantic getaway. We loved walking the trail with our dogs, chopping wood and relaxing on the deck. Things I'd recommend- bring a light sheet and a battery powered fan if staying in the summer.. it gets really hot in the cabin. and /or bring a mosquito net or two to drape over the wall that opens so you can keep a breeze and sleep mosquito free.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed camping at this site! Secluded and easy to access. The toilet is a folding camp toilet, and you pack out all your garbage and waste. No outhouse/sink/surfaces, but the water reservoir provided was helpful! Remember to bring cooking equipment and account for lots of time to heat the tub-- arriving after dark can make this tricky for more inexperienced campers! Cabin is a beautiful build and easy to open up, cozy and comfy to sleep in!

What a wonderful campsite! We really enjoyed our campsite, it’s very secluded and you feel like you’re up north. We appreciated details like having a large wagon to take our stuff back to the site and having water & firewood already there. The cabin is comfortable & very cozy. Jo our host was very easy to get a hold of and super nice. The hot tub took a few hours to warm up with the fire and was a huge hit with our family. We can’t wait to come back!

It was absolutely amazing! Jo is the kindest woman I’ve ever met! It was the perfect getaway for a night and I’m so excited to go again! I arrived and immediately booked another stay here! The little mowed trail is great to get some fresh air and stretch the legs:)

It was an amazing experience! We had a great time. We capped each night off with the hot tub. Which was great after mountain biking DTE Trail. The bed was really comfortable. Jo Cook made everything seem really seamless, from beginning to end. I even messed up the payment part and she was able to fix that for! I am not a person who can easily relax, but I was to able to totally let go and I also felt very safe.

Jo's cabin was magical. Surrounded by nature, quiet and very private. The bed was very comfortable. There is a dollar general just 5 minutes away if you forget something. I would definitely come back!

Rustic Micro Cabin
ABSOLUTELY A DREAM. Its a perfect oasis in the woods. The vibes are so calm. My son and I took the greatest nap. Explored the property, ate hot dogs and s'mores. The bed was so comfortable and inviting just laying there in nature. The stock tank tub was an added plus. I will definitely be back and recommend for anyone who wants to become one with nature in a unique way.
Its a short walk to the soot, they have a wagon for you to use to haul stuff which helps a ton and it fits a lot. They have a big water thing for you to use which is amazing. Its all around an incredible experience. I would give it a million stars if i could.

Second stay at the micro cabin was a success. Jo was attentive and helpful per usual. The nature walk is a nice little mowed hike with lots of nature to be seen. We will be returning.

Jo’s site was a sweet solo respite for me. I only regret that I didn’t stay longer! She provided more than plenty of firewood and water at the site. She also has a large utility wagon available to bring your stuff from your car to the site (3 min walk through the woods) - this was so helpful!
The site and micro-cabin are as beautiful as they look - I do recommend! One thing to note about the location: you can hear (but not see) the traffic from the nearby road (M-106). It’s certainly not loud, but also not totally silent either if that’s what you’re looking for.

This place was absolutely incredible. The entire property was stunning, it was private, the hammock was amazing, the field behind it was perfect for sunset, Jo was so nice and fun for the few moments I spoke to her. The handbook for the stay itself was hilarious. We are already looking at when we can stay again!!!
